I appreciate that JLo has been branching out beyond the same RomCom she's been recycling for decades. That said, I just can't take her seriously as an actress. I watched that Netflix movie she did where she was an assassin and was trying to protect her daughter. She wasn't bad in it, but I don't know. I would just rather see another actress playing those roles than her.

Yeah it's just some people that you can't suspend disbelief for. Her celebrity is too big unfortunately and she's not like that as an actress.

The best role I ever saw her play was as a cop on this tv show called Shades of Blue with Ray Liotta.
Seems like a bit of a stretch, but I didn't even see her as J-Lo when she was playing that role.
She must have somebody in her family that's a cop or something, because I would've never thought she'd be able to pull off something like that.
