Those safety videos back in the day were off the hook…

Did you go to a vocational school? I ony ask because I think you're from Newark. I grew up in East Orange but went to school in Montclair and the closest we saw to this shit was driver's ed. And also the gruesome videos about why you shouldn't walk on the train tracks.

We still did that shit though. That and the glen was like the truant highway.

I went to Newark Tech. I didn’t see those videos until I started working. The closest thing I saw was when the Essex County Sheriff’s came by and showed us pictures of a couple of people that died in a stolen car. You talking about some gruesome shit. I still remember that story like it was yesterday.

I think my grandmother taught there. I don't know if you heard of Lena Young.

Morality is timidness.

And yeah, since the dawn of monotheism and the invention of good and evil and heaven and hell, most people have it drilled into them that not being merciful and empathetic is a sign of unrighteousness and can warrant judgement and punishment.

Which leads to a lot of people overcompensating when they have been wronged.

Because their acts of mercy and empathy is a demonstration of weakness and not power. They are only merciful and empathetic out of guilt or seeking a reward or recompense.

But that's not true mercy or empathy.
Forgiving someone, and I mean genuinely forgiving, takes way more effort/strength than revenge.

And easily giving in to your emotions or reacting with little thought is weak.

Someone who is being merciful for rewards is not genuine. To assume everyone that's merciful is for those reasons alone is false.
