I have a fireplace that havent been used since I first moved into this place. Bout 10years ago. My boy, who was my roommate at the time, used it with no problems. I never actually used it.
For some reason, I wanted a smores while high. So , before I get high, I test out my fireplace. Only had it lit for bout 10mins and the whole house smell like smoke. Glad I aint do this high like I originally planned.

Turns out there is a vent in the fireplace. I dont think it was open.
If you haven't used it in that long, you're supposed to use one of those logs or something that is supposed to clean/burn off all the sitting soot and whatnot.
