Is this accurate and if so where you at? 👀

I'm on the high end of "middle class" per this chart. Definitely not "upper poor" out here. Maybe if I was making this much in NYC, Miami, LA, or SanFran.

I’m middle class according to the chart. Living here in San Diego with a wife & 3 kids tho. If I was living back home (Maryland) with the money I’m making I’d be living comfortably.

if we going by household then rich but it feels like middle class (from being in NJ) it does feel like that at times but not the majority of time when I’m around others

See, charts like these ain't a one-size-fits-all outchea.

I live about 20 miles west of Detroit. Median household income in my town is $84k. I make more than that and with this being only a 3 person household, that works out.

Detroit, however, has a median household income of $34,762, so if I was living in The City I'm more than paid... But that depends. My old neighborhood in Detroit (which is where I would want to live) Census Tract 5381, Wayne, MI, has a median income of $87,250 and the tract directly south of my old hood, Census Tract 5382, Wayne, MI, has a median household income of $137,987. I'd still be above the median income in my old hood, but a few blocks away from my old house I'd suddenly be good and below average. And with the housing costs the way they are over there in Sherwood Forest and Palmer Woods (which sits in that tract), I'd be struggling to keep up 'cause them cribs are $$$ so mortgages and taxes would be no joke.

If you make above 35k annual without compromising morals you should consider yourself doing pretty good. The rest is all relative but spiritual, like how you maximize the dollars and time you DO have, with contentment; that’s the real play.

If you move to Singapore and are bringing in 300k annual you would be considered broke/ verypoor on a similar scale as this.
