Welcome To aBlackWeb

Times have changed........

When I was 7 a friend and I got a hold of some kinda red pungent and flammable liquid. For some reason our first thought was to light the dumpster in the back of Eckerds Drug Store on fire.

Well…that escalated quickly….rather quickly

The whole back of the strip mall on fire a few moments later and our shirts and hands smelling like the liquid no matter how much soap we used.

Thank god the cameras that exist now didn’t exist then, some dick head catching us bail from behind the building on a smart phone.

Kids do dumb shit, some times it gets cha

I can't begin to tell you the number of times someone brought in Bullshit Spray from Spencer's and let it loose somewhere in the school between 5th and 7th grade.

One of my boys used to prank girls by taking those big ass hollow gumballs and filling it with either fish oil, garlic oil, or hot sauce with a syringe. screams of disgust, pain, and vomiting usually ensued.

Nobody went to jail, cops weren't called or anything, at worst your parents were called and you might get suspended for a day or two but that's about it.

A Felony is harsh and anyone that argues against this doesn’t realize how much having that on your record can hurt you.

Those idiots should be punished severely, but that is extreme in my opinion

This. I get wanting to throw the book at the, but a felony on your record can really fuck you up. My cuz had a bullshit felony on his record and couldn't get a decent job for like 15 years.

Yo!!!

I’m helping out my cousin now. He got out last year and he is trying his hardest to do right, but finding decent work is super hard to do with a felony.

Before this I knew of folks that had went through this situation and felt bad for some that ended up back in the system. I knew it was hard but didn’t truly understand. Now, I can see why so many end up back in prison. The shit is set up for you to fail if you don’t have folks that have your back.

If he wasn’t staying with me or someone like myself (he doesn’t have to pay any bills for the home) who is just asking him to respect my home and not bring bullshit around, he would most definitely be back in the mix.

A lot of the people on here I feel, truly don’t understand how hard it is to get from under that label once it’s on you.

Hey what happens if they blow off the community service?

If they miss community service without reporting to the proper people and not having a good reason then they are fucked.

I understand where folks are coming from about them being punished. I understand that times have changed due to how crazy people are these days, but giving everyone, especially young people felony charges for any and everything isn’t always the way.

Honestly a lot of folks getting hit with such harsh sentences is due to moneymaking. It’s not a coincidence that people with money tend to get less harsher sentences than the ones without. The whole prison system is a money making scheme at its core in my opinion, but that’s a conversation for another day.

Yep, and if you really aren't a bad person and just someone who made a mistake, that fallout can really take a toll on you. Especially, if you're a dude that's used to doing for himself and helping others out and then all of a sudden have no choice to basically mooch off others because the only alternative is something that's going to get you in trouble again.

What city did you grow up in bro?

I shared this Story with my Cousin, and she laughed about it. She then mentioned an Episode of "Bob's Burger" where the Daughter didn't want to go to Gym Class and she doused her Mom with Baby Powder, screaming, "ANTHRAX!" She then asked what would happen if she did that in Real Life.

My Response? Get charged with a Felony, if anything.

Muthafuckas aren't playing around these Days with Pranks anymore, esp one like that. That's no different that calling in a Bomb Threat as a Prank.

The Era of committing "Jackass"-style Hijinks is OVER.

Exactly.

People wanted to do stuff for senior prank day but when the school started saying you can't walk for this or that then the seniors started acting better lol

We still had a bunch of people who couldn't walk though lol

Is he in NC Charlotte preferably? If so I can more than likely get him on doing telecom construction, it's not easy but the pay is decent I believe
