There was nothing about pushing for unity in my post. Don't respond to shit that ain't there. Also...most Black folks don't do say the POC or that new dumb BPOC. That's some chronically online shit that isn't actually used in real world day to day conversations. And it's for the reasons already stated...because we know how easy it is for other groups/races to be turned on each other

Niggas who are actually out here putting in work use it and that’s what it seem like you was getting at and they don’t have to put no group against each other it’s already like that by default nigga any city where it’s “diverse” it’s racial fighting LA, Houston & San Francisco when you actually grew up in the shit you understand how shit really is better to ask somebody.

My cousins on that side of family are already light skinned Blacks and easily integrated with them.

BIPOC was introduced to the political lexicon because people of color became synonymous with non White immigrants. Obama was the main person pushing POC agendas while neglecting our community. He is descendant of one. And so is Kamala.

If you know specific legislation that's specifically for Black American of precivil war ancestry, please enlighten me. Bc it was the driving force of the term BIPOC

No that's not what I was getting at. You should've asked first instead of assuming. Take your own advice next time. And if you think there isn't stuff being done intentionally to pit different groups against each other, even more so than they already are, then you're ignoring alot of evidence in your face. I never said nobody uses it I said most Black people don't use it. And that is true. Outside of specific academic spaces you ask a Black person what they are and they'll say "Black" they're not saying "I'm a POC or BIPOC". In normal everyday conversations people are not referring to themselves as BIPOC

That’s my bad then but what I was saying about the BIPOC thing is that people who are actually at those meetings and on the ground fighting for black people use that word to distinguish us from other minorities when you add other groups of people our problems never get fix black people fighting every miniorty fight while none of them fighting for black anything.

They were the OG "Model Minority" that could be thrown up as a reason to further denigrate and shun black people. Before they were the yellow terror but then they learned they could give them some of pie and say "if these people could do it, why can't blacks?" furthering the idea that we are simply incapable of achieving on account of our race. If ever called out on it, they can just hide behind the idea that they were just asking questions.

Truth is though, I don't care if they were used. It is still a conscious decision to take part in their anti-blackness. Bitching and moaning about black people getting some pittance of a quota to go to our top schools as it being at the expense of Asian students all the while a metric fuckton of white legacies are getting in with 2.13 GPAs and drunk and disorderlies on their record. But yeah, it's that shawty from North Philly with the 1580 SAT vs your 1600 SAT that's the problem.

The whole beef with that term now, even BIPOC, is that it still lumps in Black people with anyone non white and while yes some issues are the same there's also issues specifically affecting each group and those all have different histories behind them. So that's why the term is being rejected by people outside those spaces. Because it allows people to piggyback off the work that others are putting in just by mere association

The issue is some of us want other groups to see race the same way we do. Asians don't have solidarity with each other over being Asian the way we have solidarity with each other over being black. Koreans will fuck with Koreans but not so much with Japanese.

The way we view race in America is not how race is seen in the rest of the world. With that being said, racism and specifically anti blackness is global. So....🤷🏾‍♀️
