OKC aint attracting no stars and anyone who they get in a trade for Westbrook wont stay. PG stayed for Russ, which im sure hes already regretting.

Coaching wont change shit cause Russ gonna keep being Russ.

A team like OKC can do nothing but change the coach and hope it works but it wont.

this proves why the ringz argument is dumb

Russ has been to the finals once, and i think the WCF 2x with a buncha early round exits as well

next season starts, wash...rinse...repeats. He might be a stat padder, and even overrated, but he's had a pretty good career that will be overlooked by the fact that he hasnt won a ring, and might not ever

if I was him, im thinking of money and getting as much as possible. Fuck a ring

~shrugs~

Not really. If things never change and it ends up being like this for Russ for lets say 6 more years, what would you say about his legacy giving the facts that he was an elite player who couldnt play in the scheme of the team and never smartened up about the fact that he couldnt shoot and kept shooting his teams out of games?

All in all not winning due to his inability and unwillingness to adjust his game will say alot about his legacy. So not winning will matter.

PG was crying about this 2 possessions later

Also, this series got me liking Dame a bit more.

My big issue with him as a player was his defense and I admit I didnt watch the Blazers a ton during the season but watching him in this series I gotta say hes gotten much better.

Also, hes improved offensively because he doesnt put up stupid shots as much.

But the best part is after the game during the season where Russ said "I been busting him for years", nh, he been killing Russ and has especially destroyed him in this series.

Not saying Im a fan or anything, but he moved up my list.

good counter, but legacy is what made KD go to GS

legacy is what is driving AD's decision to leave Nola

Legacy is something for the kobe humpers to bring up every single time there is a convo about Lebron

Is Barkley's legacy any less impactful/meaningful b/c he wasn't able to win a title?

he's still considered one of the 50 greatest players to ever play by practically everyone.

legacy can be legitimate and overrated at the same time imo

Theres more nuance to it than just that.

Its not all about winning just like its not all about stats. Its not all about personal play but its also not all about team play.

Everything goes into it. If Westbrook follows this same exact path hes still gonna be a first ballot hall of famer. No one will say hes a scrub, but the reasons him not winning being mostly himself and his style of play will hurt his legacy.

More nuance, the move KD made to win wont get him as much props to if he went to a less talented team and won.

If AD wins with Bron, the way he won will count for less legacy points than if he wins with Kyrie.

steve kerr being critical of russ and how he treating that reporter is playing chess with russ fragile physchy.

i remember the warriors being the first to say guarding russ was easy.

steph sons russ everytime they match up.

russ gonna try to defeat the whole warriors team himself next time they play

Barring a major collapse, 80% of us are about to be wrong with our predictions for this series

I thought this series was a toss up but with that said I still felt really good picking OKC and thought they would be able to take advantage of Kanter/Portland defense

Dead wrong
