For starters aiding the destruction of the black community through drugs and violence. But on the real it was not properly vetting Ice T. Usually if you run the city like that you're supposed to know who you're up against with the law. Smashing G Money girl was just icing on the cake. He was on his way to ending up like Scarface by that point. Paranoid and alone. Ice T didn’t know Nino killed his mom until when there was about 20 minutes left of the movie (when he was undercover). He was already highly motivated to get Nino just cuz of what he was doing to the community. He even admited to Judd Nelson he was ready to kill Nino after Pookie died.

random lady as a part of a gang initiation. He told this story to Ice T's character,when they get the

warrant to arrest Nino and Ice is beating his ass he said "That teacher you killed, That was my mother".
