If he manages to win this tournament or even pushes djokovic close it will give everyone hope.

Yeah I just had so much hope but that service game was so awful.


I read Federer has had an hand injury since the start of grass court season and that's why his serve has been so poor.

So him going out can only do good for the new season
 
Lol this is essentially the 5th grandslam.

Hopefully wozinacki can inspire him she won last year tournament then won the Australian open.
 
We get a mixed double match on Thursday with Serena playing against Federer.

Federer and his team-mate Belinda Bencic won last January’s Hopman Cup and will be back in Perth to try and defend their title. Federer admits squaring off against Williams is a once-in-a-lifetime kind of match.


“We’ll probably play it down a little bit and say it’s not that big of a deal for us, it’s just another tennis match, but it really isn’t because it’s probably going to happen once and never again,” he said.


“That’s why I hope we’re both going to be injury-free when that day comes around.”

The investment group led by Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has purchased FC Andorra, who play in Spain's lower leagues.

Pique said in a statement that his investment group, Kosmos, have completed their takeover after club members approved the sale.

Kosmos were given approval by the International Tennis Federation to revamp the Davis Cup, transforming it into a season-ending tournament held in one venue as opposed to the current format which spreads ties out over months in different countries.
