That's the issue I'm having with y'all. I admitted that I fucks with this album, hell this shit been getting crazy relistens from me and I put it in my top 5 for the year hip hop wise. Outside of that it's just too much hyper sensitivity in this thread where I can't even critique shit lol.
But you ask so here is my top 3.
1. Wav files.- shit is nice, but could have been shorter and the third verse is corny. My opinion, never said the SONG is trash but the third verse is. Don't care if he is reading a Bible scripture, the flow and cadence is bad and coul have been short like 8 bars in the third instead of the whole 16.
2. Mural Jr. We know what to expect from the title but I honestly wished he just did an accapla like he did in that recent video and kept that same delivery which was more aggressive. He sounded like he was just reading pages on this song and personally the beat sounded like something on a Halo trailer. Thought it wasn't great and kinda cheesy.
3. Drogas. I thought it was impressive for him to rap in Spanish , but my only gripe is he should have placed it on the second part of the abum since the first side was more about story telling of the long chains.
Overall I was also looking forward to more aggressive delivery from him as well. Also the hook on Stack that Cheese is kinda lame but I fucks with the song and how it plays as a sequel. Also I'm not sure if he biged up clipping. Since he kinda used their theme as his album, the only reason why I said that is because he been known to call out Kendrick for biting off him.
Overall my favorite songs were Cripple, King Nas, Alan and Joneyah Forever, and stack that cheese. I Really really enjoy this album, but it also has some things that imo could have made it stronger is all I was saying.

1. Wav Files - So DMX has a verse where all he shouts out all females names in "what these bitches want", but i dont remember the outrage from him doing that, yet, you take issue with the fact that he lists the names of slave ships that brought our ancestors over here? Strange hill to die on
2. you want him, on an album, to do an entire song, acapella? Is this a legit criticism?
3. drogas...low hanging fruit...we've all voiced our disdain for that track
did this clipping you keep referring to use a narrative of slaves surviving crashed ships and living underwater to save other slaves from ships?

My thing is why are you trying to rebuttal my opinions about things I didn't like about the songs if I said I really fucked with this album? Dmx was flow was consistent the whole song. Lupe wasn't with that third verse and him humming/singing the whole thing was not appealing to ME lol.
I was implying the beat was trash Imo, if it wasn't so bad and I never seen that accapla video I'm sure we wouldn't even be discussing this song.
And I can't really visit the thread for that Drogas song, cliff notes?

whats funny is from all the shit I missed, I caught most of this early on......it was even better w/ the a capella video
which I wanted to bring up for a non important reason yesterday
