"lemme break it down for you one time.."
Just watched it on my phone and it was fire. Greatly inspired by the comics and followed it almost to a tee but it , cut out a lot of filler. The Easter eggs guest appearances sets up for the sequel and the after credits pay off. It should be a trilogy imo they should definitely do a rise of the supermen movie before they do return of superman .

So question I never read the original death of Superman comic but I have a novel that was written by Roger Stern based on the Death Of Superman. In it Lex Luther II (Who’s really just Lex Luther who faked his own death) is in it and dating Supergirl. Is that how it is in the comics? I see Regular Lex is in this.

yeah in the late 80's lex Luthor wore a kryptonite ring that kept superman at bay. over the years it gave him cancer and the cancer took the hand that was wearing the ring and he had it replaced with a prosthetic hand . the cancer continued to spread and it put him at terminal health. the world believed he died but he had I guess Cadmus clone him a younger body and put his conscience into it. he then used a fake Australian accent and pretended to be alexander Luthor jr his estranged son from a fling with an Australian woman. also the supergirl that he's dating isn't an actual supergirl but some kind of shapeshifting synthoid that took the form of supergirl. it has something to do with the crisis on infinite storyline after the dc universe got rebooted.

I know it's been said many times before, but DC cinematic universe needs the animated folks to step in. I was in my feels a little when Superman died in this one. Couldn't have given a fuck less in BvS.
