Anyone with sense noticed it and you can still use them. It's not that hard.

well with the memory cards on phones they kinda forced that one. I'd probably still be using my android that had a SD slot, but when all the networks switched to 5G my phone stopped working cuz it wasn't compatible with the network. 2022-2023 I think

I don't pay for storage. I just take my phone and download the stuff I want to keep to sd cards. How much stuff do you really need to pull up at any given time?

I have over 10 yrs worth of pictures and videos and stuff like that. I think i pay like $3/month but honestly until answering this question I forgot all about it. it's a negligible amount, but millions of people paying whatever they pay for storage is a large amount of money that they basically forced us into

but other than the pics I used to have all my music on memory cards too, now I have Spotify premium instead

Been saying this here shit for years.

During the Nextel phones before 2010s era we were able to take our battery out the phone. We can’t do that any more, just have to get a new phone.

I forgot about the SD disk memory chips, I would freak out when it piped out and I couldn’t find it

Most of the more "desirable" phones got rid of them (i.e. Samsung) or never had them (iPhones). I do have OTG cables for my phones, past and present, so even if my current joint didn't have a microSD slot, I could still use a thumbdrive or SC card via reader attached to it.

You can always dump your pics to your desktop or laptop instead of paying for cloud storage. That's what I do pretty much every time I take pics with my phone.
