OUT NOW Drake - ICEMAN

Added to Calendar: 05-15-26

Drake rather he knows it or not has shown that he wants and needs the machine behind him. As much as he doesn’t like to talk about “23 & me” best believe he gonna pretend in his mind he’s like him when he has these labels courting him and he makes his “Decision”.

All that to say he should go for that.
He doesn't need the machine. For artists like him and Taylor swift its easier and less expensive to get the money upfront and go recoup.

What he'll probably be trying to get in his next deal beyond the money is equity in whatever label he signs with.

Doesn't really make sense to go independent now. That's too much work.

Few people wanna admit it, but theres a reason why all his stuff stayed so far ahead of everyone elses, stream wise. They made sure it stayed ahead & appeared on all playlists.

We saw what happened when they turned it off. The numbers were good, but strangely weren't what they usually are.
Fake narrative. He fell off for 2 months during the beef thats it. He's been running it up with 10+ year old albums. Shit he had his highest streaming day ever a week ago with no new album or single.

I preface that we have no idea what happened behind the scenes for better or worse but I will say one thing..

The overlap between the people who have smoke for each individual personthat supposedly did Drake foul over the past two years—yet see no irony in Drake shooting at Khaled—the one person who pretty much stayed out of it, is hilarious.

At this point, I've heard more from people speaking on Drake fans than actual Drake fans. I don't know what it's like for most people, but Drake doesn't have this crazed fan base. Not like Taylor Swift or Beyonce at least. I mean, I get it that every artist has Stans, but the commentary around Drake the last few years has been different variations of people speaking on his fans and not much from his actual fans.

This is what made the whole shit with Kendrick feel weird because outside of the beef, Kendrick has fans, so I'm not debating that. I do think that it is just weird how the critics of Drake were amplified during the beef, like they were so fed up with his fans. I never thought Drake fans were a thing like that. Now nothing can be said about this nigga without adding mysterious disclaimers about his fans, but I'm not sure if it's even like that.

Maybe I'm an old nigga, and I'm just not seeing it lolololololololololololol

From fan base and financial sense no he doesn’t need the machine. From an insecurity and ego sense, he does.

Survive the droughts, I wish him well.
