OPINION Contradictions and Lies! Exposing the Democratic Party

You’re asking me to speculate and I don’t know the answer to that.

Civil rights getting passed took iterative steps and voting in people that would push it a little more each election cycle. It didn’t happen because black people said no rights, no vote. They didn't accept suffering at the hands of the party that shunned them.

You don't have to really speculate, you can go off history, patterns to determine the future.

The Dems have controlled DC, reparations talk has been around, nothing was pushed out.

Civil Rights passed because black folks were turning up in the streets and white folks trying to stop the repercussions that was happening all around this country

"You gotta give them what they want"

That is a famous line that came outta DC

Thats not this. This discussion is about a mindset that says I’ll accept the harsh realities of one side if I don’t get one thing from the other side.

But of course you like to frame it this way because it supports your bias against democrats.
No that's exactly what this is. That mindset didn't just start yesterday it comes from years and administrations of status quo politics.

And this isn't just about one single issue either. Every four years I'm hearing people say to shut up and just vote and then ppl will finally get something.

I think you know the true answer. You usually keep it 100 Knight.

You know very well if the Dems get the black vote, they will side-step reparations, well, if you don't know, I'm here to tell you that will happen, so now you know. They've done before and they are going to do it again. So that there will kill them in the future elections.

So in order for that not to happen, black folks have decided to really say out loud, no check no vote, so that the dems know that they have to do something about this request.

I am in favor of it, I'm spreading this message. I'm glad to see that a lot of people under 50 are jumping on board and demanding something for their vote and it's cool with me.

But I tell you what is about to happen and some of my folks I know whose deep off into this world, was nodding as I was breaking it down to them.

That black voting block that is so together when election time comes, it's about to be broken up.

You're about to see (and you saw it in last election a little bit, but now it's going to be bigger) black folks shame black folks for holding out for reparations. It's about to be this internal war, really with the 50 and up crowd and tethers, vs the crowd who sees what it is.

Which will become, the "I aint voting Dems because they are not supporting reparations" crowd, vs I am voting because we trying to keep the bad guy out. crowd

This numbers will grow and more people will pick a side. As more information keeps coming out about not getting shit for you vote, that side is growing. Espeically with new young voters

This is about to be the norm for the next 5 or so years, after the older crowd passes on to glory or just accept the shitty economy/country that it will be in because of the baby Trump, (we have one in Louisiana that will prolly throw his name in the Presidential hat in the future), something will bend.

So that black voting block will be down

Plus black women under 50 will have men, (some will have to get men, because of this shitty economy) will see how black men move, most hetersexual men will start to use their common sense and see how the Dems are playing with the black family etc etc, and the black woman will follow their husband, in which will be to not vote for the Dems, or vote for a 3rd party candidate or just sit out.

The dems will be left on its on island. That black voting block will be broken up.

And I gave you the history where nothing ever occurred by saying give me this specifically or I’m not voting and letting the other party in.

Nobody ever said that. They said vote for the party most likely to push things toward what you want and don’t allow a party that hates you into power.

This is a black discussion anyway. We can’t afford to play this game because we get impacted the most.

I refer you back to this that I posted before:

So while we’re sitting out for reparations, shit like this and more is the result. No self respecting black movement would sit back and allow this type shit to happen over a 160 year old promise. Definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

And I gave you the history where nothing ever occurred by saying give me this specifically or I’m not voting and letting the other party in.

I'm asking you, what do you want black people to do if the Dems get control of DC in 2028 and they don't give black people reparations?

Should black people stop asking the Dems (who has control of DC)?

I'm asking you what should black people do?

Brotha, this aint it.

This not going to move me, or anybody who wants reparation for their vote. Shaming isn't going to do that.

Let's bring this to the Dems and show them this...Hopefully they can say, since black folks now are not voting because that want their check, maybe we can get them their check so we can win and we can stop this

And I gave you the history where nothing ever occurred by saying give me this specifically or I’m not voting and letting the other party in.

History is about to happen going forward.

I'm not sure if you trolling me, you boule or part of that Roland Martin over 50 crowd, because you've come up with about 1000 excuses to explain why the Dems won't give black folks reparations

You still want black folks to vote for the Dems when they are not giving black folks what they want.

That's over brotha, and I think you know that part of the game is over too but you won't say it out loud.

And I gave you the history where nothing ever occurred by saying give me this specifically or I’m not voting and letting the other party in.

Do you think if black folks wouldn't have had them summers turning up and destroying the country or wouldn't have turned up, do you think Civil Rights were going to be passed?

I would say, why did they wait until they turned up to pass the act? why not give civil rights beforehand?

Ok we’re going in circles. I showed you the fallacy of your argument time and time again. I didn’t expect to change your mind, just to prove the errors in your logic. Then you deflect to a number of other arguments and straw men.

Facts, nothing ever happened by sitting out and not voting.

Facts, ending slavery and the civil rights movement weren’t precipitated by sitting out and not voting.

Facts, given the current state of US politics, where there are two parties and one of those two will be in power, not voting to make democrats lose will result in republicans reversing historical civil rights gains as proven with Donald Trump and MAGA running the Republican Party.

All over one proclamation made by General Sherman to black ministers 160 years ago that was reversed in the same year it was proclaimed. Over a request that you yourself can’t articulate and can’t even point to one single piece of documentation that outlines details of the demand. You say no check no vote and somebody runs on that and conclude you’re owed the 1865 inflation adjusted cost of 40 acres and a mule, a whopping $5k.

And I’m out ✌🏾

I'll admit that I'm wrong. You are right.. Kool

I got 4 people reading this asked this back and forth between you and I, all under 22... 2 dudes and 2 girls, all go to Southern University and LSU. Political Science majors

If the Dems take control of DC in 2028, will the Dems push out reparations..... (They asked me to ask you this because they can't seem to find a yes or no.

They want to know if they vote for the Dems will they get reparations?

I mentioned to them that you support the dems, so they wanted me to ask you that question.

You guys are already voting for the Dems, and that's fine, what you fail to understand, you are not even making me be on some, let me get off the couch and vote.

You all tap out when asked simple questions, Just like the Dems do in real life.

I ask the very questions that everybody else ask. Simple ass questions.

I got 4 folks right now, who are reading this exchange and asking why dude tapped out and he's wanted folks to vote..

Like I told them, they have to convince you all if the Dems will honor reparations for your vote or let the Reps win again.

I aint tripping, yall gotta convince me to vote. Yall need us to vote and gain more numbers. The Dems

I’ll entertain this last question.

My opinion, probably not in the next presidential term because the entire focus is going to be undoing all the bullshit Trump has done.

And that’s the issue. If republicans weren’t allowed to take power, that wouldn’t have to be democrats focus. And it will be their focus because 90% of their base wants that. So now we’ll be screaming against the tide of 90% of the base.

Shit is not as simple as you’re trying to make it. It’s a web of very intricate political considerations that have to be made and, again, you don’t even know what you want specifically.

Thanks for answering the question,

We are just talking about the Dems controlling DC and saying Yes, we can figure out the other parts later, we gotta get a yes 1st. Let's get a Yes by every Dem in DC 1st.

That I doubt will happened. The Reps won't do it, and you and I know the Dems won't do it, and this is why they won't get the black vote going forward amongst voters under 50.

You talk just like them and it's not a diss.

Even if Kamala would have won and the Dems controlled DC, they wouldn't be giving black folks reparations, that's why black folks saw the play with her and she lost because she wasn't giving out things that black folks were asking.

Thanks for the convo. Good Luck.

I will do my very best to push the no check no vote campaign to folks. Dems need to do something and give black folks what they are asking for. Simple

If they ever wanna win again and save this country.

The part where I prob differ w knock is that I don't think withholding your vote will push a party to do something for u (assuming that's his stance). That's not my reason for not voting personally.

As for "negotiating" with the other side, there is no negotiating happening, at least not in the way that vid is trying to portray.

That was bullshit.
They never actually wanted reparations.
It was just a hit job to discredit and disparage Democrats in order to get right-wing Republicans into power.

You have some simple-minded, goofy mfers who still haven’t figured out that they got— or are getting—played, so they don’t have the common sense to ask the “FBA overlord” why did he suddenly stop talking about and demanding reparations as soon as Republicans and Donald Trump got into power?

If both parties are the same, shouldn’t the demand be just as loud, constant, and visible now as it was then??

There is negotiating, at least in Knock’s stance. He’s saying give us a check or we don’t vote. They don’t agree, we walk away, and we get nothing and worse. Meanwhile, white people who might negotiate in the same way and refrain from voting will still get things by virtue of their race.

For instance, people like you who said I’m not voting, don’t now all of a sudden have people looking at you sideways at work because you might be a DEI hire. Or worse, get fired, not hired, or not promoted for it.

Your parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, extended family, etc. who are government workers don’t have to fear getting fired just because they’re black.

You don’t have black women in your lineage so the fact that the black female unemployment rate is skyrocketing isn’t impacting you. Now if you’re with a black woman it might impact you, which would call into question your stance on the whole issue.

So sitting out for you doesn’t have the same impacts as it does for us. And that’s why it’s so frustrating when black people take that stance knowing the consequences.

Here's the part you're missing, the vid u posted posits that u should let the Dems negotiate on your behalf while at the same time only hoping they do right by u somewhere down the line

Knocks stance is seemingly negotiating WITH the Dems to advocate what he wants on his behalf since they are the ones courting for his representation
