I missed that part

I agree they don't have to be but they probably are. Same with Nola ownership and Zion. Operations probably want to make some moves to bring in another player and take some of the load off him but they are probably handcuffed by ownership
If they wanna be successful they’ll work on making moves to bring in a better player than Paolo

And judging by the previous numbers, that won’t be hard 😌

Oh you wanna ship him out

Ok then that changes my initial response. I thought you wanted to keep him and pair him with someone else

either direction is fine with me but based on the way things are set up, they are better off trying to move Franz and whoever else while keeping bane to bring in a player that’s better than Paolo

The caveat is the team is going to have no future assets or hardly any other young players

But you’ll now have

Player X
Paolo
Bane

As your 3 best players

If only KD was even 2 years younger..

I'm not as tapped in with the contracts or Free Agents but who ideally is this x factor?

I have no player in mind but as long as he can shoot and capable of being the #1 option that’s all that’s required

Durant/Kawhi would be perfect but again I wish Durant was 2 years younger

Only player the magic could potentially trade for in the summer that could get them out of their situation is Giannis. No other player on the market is fixing that shit.

He got too bulky and then being hurt probably made him a bit out of shape but considering that’s the only way he can score I kinda don’t blame him at the same time

The oblique injury and whatever he did with this training last summer messed up his game but I think its still a really good player in there

Get lean and slim up, surround him with shooting and have an offense more focused on ball movement and quick actions....all things that are very doable.

His sophomore season is what things need to look like

Magic are going to have to figure it out because I dont see that contract being tradeable anytime soon but they should be trying to fix this and make it work

Imagine trading 4 first round picks for Desmond Bane when Ayo getting traded for seconds and Alexander Walker signing for the minimum

Sucks for Bane too because he's actually been having a pretyy good individual season but he'll never live up to what was given up for him

I liked the idea of Paolo before but then he stagnated and I know it’s not all his fault

I agree on slimming up

But yeah there is a better player in there and a lot of it depends on who’s he’s playing with which is why idk about him being the main option offensively

How many players traded for 3+ picks the past few years actually worked out? Lol

Gobert I consider working out very well but Bane and bridges? Yikes

I think they could be ok with Franz as more as the primary ball handler and Paolo as the primary scorer of the two

If he can simply become more efficient I think he would be fine as the main option because he should be a constant mismatch threat
