Video Jay-Z Breaks His Silence—“We Played Enough Defense, 2026 is All Offense”

I’ll watch that shit later

2 things

Is he dropping a new album?

Did bro ask him why he had his lawyer make statement stating he wasn’t cool w Puff like that?

I hate the belief everything happens for a reason. Your Greater good is even worse.

I despise it with a passion.

Mans was looking to be signed by a record label when he came up

He's saying him not being signed at the time was better for him ... Currently

And as far as the Jared and Ivanka shit they could have always gotten up and left or switched table

Imagine breaking bread and clinking champagne flutes with someone who has helped orchestrate and is looking to profit off of a genocide

Mans who interviewed him is a fan/Stan ...

He has what two major concerts this summer.... I wouldn't be surprised if an album is in the works or the burner

I wonder if he connects Blue’s aversion to really working at something she’s naturally gifted to do (piano) to how he was with rap at first. I seem to remember him saying at one point that rap came so easy he didn’t see the value in it so didn’t work at it at first. That’s why it took him so long to become a rapper.

I have a daughter that’s a gifted artist but she doesn’t want to have anything to do with trying to monetize it. She doesn’t see the value in it and I tell her this Jay-Z story all the time.
I think Blue is a horrible example. How you expect a wealthy kid that gets/gotten, everything she could ever want to wanna work really hard at something she does for fun. What exactly is her motivation. No diss to Jay, but how we know shes gifted and not just talented? I cant see a piano tutor saying their kid is 'pretty good' at the piano. Hell yea they're gunna hype it some to keep that job, not to mention the younger your kid starts music with a great teacher, the faster they'll pick it up.

But back on topic, the rush to monetize something you genuinely enjoy doing will legit kill your enjoyment of it. Especially if you are young. If we're looking at it in just art, that means you can only do art you think will make you money. You cant take on any projects you might personally want, it has to just be commissions you think will sell.

Turning a natural skill into something that feels like a job, will really make you want to just walk away. People not talented in that field usually think its w/e and no big deal, but think of it more like someone forcing you to take you talent in a direction you dont really wanna go to. That would kill all your motivation and enjoyment in it.

You constantly bringing up that story by some wealthy old rapper is probably having the opposite affect of your intentions. Maybe she does she the value, but doesnt think turning it into a job will pay off better than it being a fun, therapeutic hobby. Being an artist isnt easy, especially with all these AI "artists" running around now. Either way, this is a decision that has to come naturally, you being pushy might be reinforcing her decision.

That’s a lot of words, lol. I promise you it’s not that deep.

I let her choose what she does and don’t pressure her. I just give her information so she makes an informed decision. I don’t need her to make money, just want her to know she can be successful with her art if she so chooses.

I always find it funny that people criticize someone who is actually making sense. I guess some people just can’t relate to certain mentalities. And obviously his perspective has been beneficial for him. Other than rumor and innuendo, Jay has always seemed like a standup person just doing the best he can in a fucked up world. If people didn’t want to rock with him, that’s on them.

I also think he addressed Dame without mentioning his name good too.

He's right about this.

Niggas fall with each other after being cool for 20+ years and the first thing one of them will say about the other is "he was a clown, he wasn't like that for real, he didn't bust his guns, some of his hoes was ugly, and blah blah blah".

The whole time that's more of an indictment on you more so than them. Because if them niggas wasn't shit, fake or a lame. You was running with them for 20yrs so what that make you?
