Know how when you eat healthy or you start to exercise a lot. When you do the opposite from time to time. You really get to fully experience the bad side of it.
Like eating fried food when you stop, or taking time away from exercise for a while. You get to experience full on the affect of those things on your mind and body.
Say that to say, I actively stop listening to rap. Only to try to dive back in or work out. Shit leaves you feeling horrible. The messaging, the horrible takes, the things rappers choose to focus on, the narratives, the childish point of view in life.
As an adult, it leaves you feeling sick, and I wonder. Just how much of this shit had an unknown affect on me when I really indulged.
