I don't know about the coaching. You can't tell me that a few of those possessions, KD, as elite as he is, couldn't have done something better than he did. Credit to the Lakers though. Their defense looked legit. Even Lebron was moving on defense, which he has really done consistently in like 3 years.
 
This is a critique of the entire NBA low IQ for players

Watch practically every time a star player is doubled at the top of the key, most of the time, everyone gets cement shoes and just waits for the pas5 instead of going to the dude being doubled to give him an outlet

You can't make the defenses job easy by just standing still which is what I saw several times in that clip

Also why is Durant bringing the ball up? Why are you making him expend even more energy?

Its crazy because its so self inflicted

I would he doing my best to put this all in the players and front office if I was him


Play your best players, make some adjustments and you can say you did your best with what you had to work with

You want to be a smug hard ass instead and let your ego get in the way

He shouldn't be doing that but we have 3 players on this team who can dribble.... trying to use him as consistent play initiator instead of a play finisher

Amen is having a disappointing season but Im cutting him some slack because he's not a point guard and shouldn't have been tasked with that role

All off this comes down to the front office failing us though

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh idk about that with Amen for me

He’s considered the ballhandler out of him and Ausar and he is on a breakout trajectory

Sengun and Reed is there as well

Idk man but I’ll defer to you

But I agree that the FO failed yall during the deadline

We dont have a point guard on this roster....hubs, secondary ball handlers yes....but no true point guard

I cant stress enough fam its nothing like having a legit true point guard who has that experience, knows how to run an offense, get players in the right spots, orgranize things ect

Amen trying to learn on the fly but he's much better off ball

"Play harder" can't be your coaching adjustment.

In a way, I kind of get it, cause the whole season was based on amen and sengun taking the next step and they both regressed.

But shit I might put their regression on Ime too, and in that case, he really got to go.
