It may have got spins more so on the East Coast because that's East Coast sped, the mps is on their speed. We don't rock to that shit down here nor does West Coast cats

The Purple Tape was well known in the South and Ice Cream was a single popular single that summer. Maybe you didn't know or the people in your little corner didn't, but didn't speak for the South as a whole because what you're saying wasn't true for the rest of us.

In those times, an artist would put out a single or 2 before the album drops.
