I'll agreeNigga no. You gotta wake certain shit up. You cannot compare these two albums at all and people need to be reminded of that.
I'm not sure why they are even being compared

it’s because what these folks are doing is they’re taking a very extensively, genius album and comparing it to a barebones, black and white, basic album that Young Jeezy made. Young Jeezy and Raekwon are in two completely different schools bare rap. The problem with a lot of conversations is that people don’t wanna come out and just say that a lot of the rap discussions are what they are because you’re asking a specific coast to go up against another one where lyrics and being not just technically good, and lyrically good, you had to be almost genius level intellect to structure your bars. Then you get folks from the south, who let because they like the album and it’s simplistic and basic rhyme scheme, make them think that a basic rapper making the album you enjoy is better than a lyrical rapper making the album that you enjoy.I'll agree

Who still really is out here from NY claiming shit like “you need genius intelligence to structure yours bars”
Sure a rapper with a basic rhyme scheme can make a better album than a lyrical rapper. But this isn’t the case here. Then again this should have never been a comparison
I've listened to TM101 exactly twice. The second time was to make sure I heard it right the first time.

Meanwhile, OB4CL is in weekly rotation in my ride.
Live in AZ and I prefer TM101 for replay listening purposes. But OB4CL has its place imo in history as being an all time album. I just don't listen to it as much.
OB4CL is my favorite album in any genre and I can't listen to it in its entirety all at once more than two or three times a year. How do ya'll listen 30 year old albums that frequently? lol
Prolly 'cause I don't care for the overwhelming majority of new shit. Shits is hard as hell to listen to.
OB4CL puts me in that mental space I was in when I first picked it up back in '95. Issa whole ass vibe right there.
