COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

He quite literally said “I’m like you.”

He then said right after that. "I'm not better than you." Also, he didn't bring up race. Yes, the crowd was mostly black, but it was a televised interview, so he knew he wasn't just being watched by black people. It's disingenuous to paint it as him just telling a bunch of black people that he was like them because he was dumb.

I don't care about Gavin Newsom. I don't want him to win anything on a national level. But you should probably be skeptical about any video from a user named "End Wokeness."

I get what you’re saying, and I can’t speak to his intent, but these white politicians certainly have a skewed perception of black people, consciously or unconsciously. They love to bring up talking points to score cool points with black people but instead they just reveal their skewed perceptions.

Clinton with hot sauce in her purse.
Biden with you ain’t black if you vote for Trump.
And now this I’m dumb so I can relate.

Taking it further, it also shows they don’t have black people in their immediate, trusted circle who could tell them where the lines are.

The only one that did it right was Clinton with the sax on Arsenio. Jazz and the sax aren’t stereotypical to black people, but it was cool to black people.
