They traded 5 picks for roid head. They will never get fair value back for him especially in a down year. Might as well hold on to him and see if he can turn it around. Nothing to lose more than they've already lost, at best they can get back 1 maybe 2 protected picks today. If their gm tried to trade him now he'd get fired right after.

Fair....

Still tho Franz, Paolo, and Bane could all be making about 40mil next season I think. Add in another 30mil for Suggs. Bane is the weakest link.

They won't get anywhere near what they gave for him, but if they keep him too long it'll be more difficult to trade him trying to juggle cap hit, draft compensation, and suitable rotation replacement all at once. They could at least start developing a replacement now.

Suggs is the weakest link imo. They were all in on bane they didn't give 5 picks up for him on a whim. Certainly not to trade him 7 months to a year later. They need to clear up money for Anthony black between now and next summer. I assume that will start with trying to find somewhere to dump Suggs and/or Wendell Carter.
