The issue though is that if you keep letting a president do illegal things and get away with it, eventually he'll come for you too.

That's the worry now.

The more he gets away with, the more he will try to get away with and soon we wont even be able to talk shit on social media.

American exceptionalism is believing we’re bigger and badder than everyone else and cannot get touched.

Which in some respects I get. America is the richer and most powerful nation.

It ignores that we are human just like everyone else. Being human, other countries are going to see what happened last night and think:

1) I can do this to another country

2) I need to protect myself to make whatever moves to help ensure I don’t go out like Venezuela.
