Added to Calendar: 10-21-25

I was coming to shit on the hawks again because I looked at the standings but it’s actually fine

They will have

Dyson
Jalen Johnson
Bum ass Risacher
Asa Newell
Whoever they trade Trae for

And a top 5 pick next year

Sure it’s probably not contention but that’s a great group of young players

They set themselves up pretty well regardless of what happens this season. Picks and potential capspace, with a solid core of young guys that all have room to improve.

They've set themselves up very well to pivot from the Trae era and build something completely different and more sustainable

They have the potential to end up with a great core if everything works out in their favor.....as of right now though Jalen Johnson aside.......Dyson, Risacher and Newell are ok-good. Great is a strong word(I get your factoring in what could be though with the future pick and trade return)
 
Im very interested to see what the Pistons do......if they just ride it out or really try to make a move to increase their odds of being a true contender this season

I like all of these players individually but idk if you can have Holland, Ausar and Duren long term....some real challenges with the spacing

The visionary in me has the pistons trading Ivey and Holland and someone else for Jaylen Brown to take the pistons to the NEXT LEVEL

it doesn’t have to be him but that caliber of player

I would do this so fast if I was Detroit lol

Thats the question and hard part though....who can you realistically get that moves the needle enough that makes cashing in some of your prospects/assets worth it

I feel like its a very thin line for the Pistons to navigate

lol I thought of kawhi too after Jaylen Brown

But ideally I would want him to be younger and healthy

But most younger wings are STAR franchise players

Lol i purposely didn’t think of Lauri because he’s such a lazy answer at this point

I would take Lauri but atleast Deni can play D and playmake

So it really depends on who’s sent out
