Cavs situation is so complicated to me

Everyone is quick to say you have to trade Garland which I understand why.....but what are you going to get back for him that moves the needle and really changes its fortune

Like I said yesterday, Im sure Garland and/or Allen are the ones you want to move but I dont know if thats going to be enougj.......what is a team giving up for an injured and undersized Garland right now that helps you this season?

I understand the whole value thing but garland is the weakest link out there on most nights

I can maybe see a world where the kings try and make a move for him

But what would the cavs get back that helps

I think in any move for him you gonna need 3 teams or more

Yup...I totally get it but swapping out your weakest link in exchange for someone or multiple people that change the dynamics of the team


I feel like if you dont get a number 2 option thats better than Mobley than it doesnt mater.



Like if you make a trade and the team pecking order is still

Mitchell
Mobley
And then whatever else

You still arent going anywhere......Garland is the weakest link, Mobley isnt ready to be the second best player on a championship team, Jarrett Allen routinely gets benched in the 4th quarter and Mitchell would get you the most back in a trade

If you're committed to Donovan Mitchell than you have to trade Mobley....timelines don't add up imo

If not trade Mitchell, get a haul and reset things.....nobody should be mad if they did this

They had no reason to because he was an rfa. If someone wanted him they would have simply made an offer to sign him and got him. He got lowballed and bkn own disinterest put him in a bad position on the market but he should have just taken the 2 year deal.

Betting on yourself and not making any changes to how you approach the game was an interesting choice. And now he's also injured making his situation even worse.

Sad. But no tears for millionaires from me. He be aight.

Exactly...but thats why I agree with @Reed MJ, the move to me would be to trade Donovan and stock up on assets to build around Mobley and Garland(for now)

Took a swing and it didn't work, nobody should fault them for pivoting in another direction in order to try again
