Random NBA thought:
During the summer, instead of working on my many step back moves and three point range, I would work on moving without the ball, on ball defense and my stamina.
Mavs got robbed
I would study Duncan Robinson. The way he moves without the ball to get an open shot is artwork. As for wear and tear, lifting weights all summer, gym runs are wear and tear too but done religiously throughout the league. With today's players I feel like skills are at an all time high but fundamentals are lacking. Niggas need to hit the gym and work on boxing out, feeding the post, passing and staying in front of their opponent. I get it tho. It is what it is.More wear and tear on your body without you really learning or getting better at anything. At the NBA level those just have to be things you're willing to do and get better at. Simply watching game tape would and adjust could help 2 of those 3 things you mentioned.
Not much you can do its really just a matter of who players decide to train with, how hard they train and mental make up.
