ICE Protest/Riot Thread

Wouldn't have thought it would be Don Lemon to advocate for people of color to arm themselves against ICE... But here we are.

We've been telling everyone how things went out here in Cali for decades. The difference between the 90s and now is night and day, and the surge of illegals is a big fucking reason. I swear every group looks out for one another...except us. Housing/Rent is off the charts out here, our schools are fallen off, there's no floor for the working class at this point. And more to that point, the vast majority of working class jobs were taking over, and good luck getting hired if you don't speak Spanish in many of them lol. Legal immigrants are cool as hell, and most I know aren't with illegals either. It's always no nothings from out of state propping them up for political gain. Same shit after the fires and they gave cover to Bass, but are nowhere to be found now when people can't even get building permits. Same people who prop up the homeless here. Stop speaking that kumbaya shit, we don't get the same respect when we go south of the border.

Bruh was the black community in cali in a better state before all the illegal immigration? Where were yall looking out for each other at any point?

You doing all that ranting...and yet if deporting illegal immigrants would get the shit you're talking about you would've been had it because they've been being deported at higher numbers in past administrations and you still had the same complaints you do now. It ain't the illegals your beef is actually with they're an easy target to paint the blame on. This country President just gave 40 billion to Argentina. Maybe decisions like that are the real foundation of your complaints.

Tom Bradley was mayor here for 20 years fam. We had a real presence in the city council, completely opposite now. Housing was actually affordable, and working class jobs were available to everyone, not just Spanish speakers. Anyone old enough to remember Cali in the 90/00s knows whats up.

Point blank, we didn't have the infrastructure to absorb millions of illegals and our communities suffered the most due to that. White liberals don't care, and neither do out of state politicos.

No admin has ever deported illegals like they should have, so what are you going on about?? Illegals are a easy targets because they're not citizens. If I went to Mexico illegally they would throw me in jail. Nothing in your post is a counter to what I said, you just instead deflected to a Argentina bailout as if that has anything to do with the issue. I'm not for giving any foreign government our money, or.....to any foreign illegals our money too. Deport them, sad day when some of yall cape for illegals more than our own interests.

I’m not going to dispute your claims because you’re in Cali and I’m on the other side of the country in NC.

That said, how did illegals, who work for a lot less money, contribute to higher rents and worse schools? Sounds to me like that’s more a governing problem than an immigrant problem.

The wage suppression you may have a point since illegals are working for lower wages. That said, now that they are getting deported, are you seeing Americans fill those roles?
