Relevant to show the differences. Yes. Relevant for the cape and defense you use it for? No. But if you find it your duty to keep defending wild shit this administration does then you also can't continue to be agitated and so defensive at folks perception that you're a right wing trump supporter who hates seeing anything bad said about him.

An arsonist (Republican) willfully set fire to your house, and you're complaining about your landlord (Democrat) who raised your rent. You're house is burning right now. There may not even be a home left to complain about, but you feel as if it is your duty to remind people that while you're house is burning down, your rent was raised.

Terrible analogy. More like a republican set fire to my house and a democrat says "this wouldn't have happened if it was a Democrat" and I point out it did happen by a democrat and you're all crazy.

Correct, the republican just did it and I have a problem with it. But the Democrat comes up and says to me, "a democrat would never do this" and I point out that they have before. Doesn't mean I don't have a problem with a republican currently doing it, doesn't mean I'm defending the republican who just did it. I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy, both outrageous.

Again, you are under the impression that a Democrat who is the landlord not only housed you in the first place, but that they already burned down your house before. This is not the case.

You are in a house, and a Republican set fire to it. You're trying to point out hypocrisy, but while doing so, you are vastly underselling the most critical action that took place, which is that a Republican set your house on fire.

A better scenario would be "A Republican set the house on fire but you're also equally upset at the Dems for...breaking your window." Both are destruction but the levels are different
