COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

Yes, Crime Bill turn out bad because it was used to give black people who committed crimes unfair jail sentences and higher incarnations rate compared to white criminals
But again, not all black people were/are criminals. So how can THAT be the biggest detriment to our community oppose to systemic white supremacy as a whole???
Where your "crime" is your very own skin color, something you can't help.

It doesn't matter if you go to church, studying in a library, walking down the street, shopping in the grocery store. etc.etc. High school diploma or Master Degree. 1st generation Nigerian immigrant or born & raised on US soil (which I am by the way). You are are judged and sentenced the same because of your skin color by racist white mind
The '94 bill gets the most attn but there were other bills under Clinton that did shit like make it harder to appeal a conviction to prove your innocence or to investigate civil rights violations.

They even made it so minors as young as 13 could be charged as adults. Do u think they would've done that if the target areas were white communities? Mind u whites prob abuse substances more than any other group.

These bills made it easier to target and even arrest innocent people especially since u promised to arrest more people you're gonna be less efficient and target ppl within a community more recklessly and indiscriminately. Reminds me of what Trump is doing with ICE.

I don't think it'd be that hard to understand how this affected law abiding people within the targeted communities. And if anything, your last sentence is exactly why bills like those under Clinton could be passed to begin with.

FBA is a more recent term and before then people didn’t delineate on lineage. So if that wasn’t a thing in those days, then of course they didn’t delineate on those lines.

I’m just stating the facts. Back then they understood power in numbers which is why they organized and even welcomed the support of other races (Nation of Islam and maybe some smaller movements being the exception). Delineation based on lineage wasn’t a luxury they could afford then, and really not one we can afford now to be honest, but social media and grifters have convinced people otherwise.

You too?

Let me educate you. When the black immigrants came over here, many of them kept their heads down...were being taken advantage...fbas were in the big brother role. Black immigrants and fbas were never toe to toe, shoulder to shoulder on anything when it came to fighting cops the government. It was fbas.

Lets start from the root...I like to start from the very beginning of things. Fbas were been putting in work before any black immigrants came over to the US. We had our own folks, groups and organizations.

When J.Egar was trying to destroy the black man, he wasn't talking about black immigrants. Lol

Lets use our brain...if you come from a place where like an Africa or a Caribbean at the time...3rd world...you were hand picked by white folks to come to a new and better place...why would you fight those ppl that pulled you from outta that 3rd world position?

Doesn't make any sense...thats why I said black immigrants, majority of them did not buck the system or white folks

A person pulls you outta the mud and you turn around and walk into that person's house and wanna buck on them??
No, that didnt happen like that.

Fba wasn't the name but the people never changed. We went through many of names but folks knew who we were from our stance. They didn't pin us with any black immigrants

Many, most black immigrants did not buck the system

Stockley, research on how he even got propped up. How did he even come over here. Understand the root and the origins of things so that you can put things into the right timeline context.

In the 50s, 60s, and 70s, how many black immigrants joined the NOI?? Lol

How many black immigrants were arrested during the bloody days in Detroit and Chicago Fires??
Again there weren't that many black immigrants over here and again the ones that were allowed over here had to go by the rules that they were given

A white man allows you into his country...pulls you outta the 3rd world position that your parents and grand parents were...gives you a 2nd life line but you and black rain wanna tell me that those same ppl that's being monitored by the government is bout to buck the system? Lol

Yall better read and know FBA history and the history on this country and not believe what someone who cant tell you in details how shit went down.

Dude white folks were not worried about Nigerians in the 60s, 70s, or 80s or 90s lol

Lets cut the crap. You guys kept a low profile and did as you were told.

I have uncles and friend of friends who were in these streets and they all say that your kin kept to themselves along with other black immigrants.
One of my business partners ole lady is the niece to Angela Davis and she gave me the real game...I know the realty on who was outside

We were culturely different more so...night and day..
Yall stood out more than how you all do know
60s. Nigerians wasn't growing Afros...yall wasn't dressing like us...black immigrants, most stood out...back then

Black immigrants cannot latch on to the shit FBA went through in the 60s, 70s 80s and 90s and thats ok.

Its all good but what we not bout to do is let yall sit up and fake like we were all shoulder to shoulder and shit was like it is now in 2025..
Oh no buddy

You calling ppl...black ppl..fbas grifters but you are in here talking bout some unity lol

That's the fake shit im talking bout

Who are the grifters...name them??

Umar dont use the term FBA so you cant use him

Tell me what grifters have you came across personally to make you say out loud...dayum this black fba man or woman is a grifter?

If you go make a claim, please prove that shit..

I made a claim that Africans wore hard bottom shoes on the regular and to schools and I posted several videos of them doing that...in another thread.. so please provide proof on who these grifters are so we as fbas can know to out them

I just learned the Clinton administration was making it easier to expedite migrant deportations without due process.

Human Rights Watch (HRW) documented in 2016 that the IIRIRA and the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act (AEDPA) of 1996 “subjected hundreds of thousands of people to arbitrary detention, fast-track deportations, and family separation.” The fast-track deportation procedures often denied asylum seekers a meaningful chance to make their claims, as required by U.S. and international law. For example, HRW cited cases where individuals were deported despite expressing credible fears of persecution, suggesting errors in the screening process.

Sounds like T

Sounds like Trump is doing the same thing that the dems done

Smh.

But these niggas in here crying hour on the hour bout some Trump smh lol

Yall better live your life and love on that family and stop all the bullshit

The crime bill and it's effects aren't just about people who got locked up for crimes they committed. It was about the sentencing disparities for similar crimes committed by folks of other races. And the flat out ease in which it became to get folks locked up for years for petty crimes once they were already in the system. The effects did hit both criminals and law abiding Black folks as well because when you're pulling people out of the community in those numbers it handicaps the community as a whole. The effects can't really be denied or debated.

It js just about race though and you are right about that. Trying to say that there was some magical breakdown where they gave Black immigrants better treatment is not only not factual it's just dumb. But the crime bill itself was about Black people in general. They wasn't looking at ethnicity and handing out lighter sentences, hesitating on beating or pulling the trigger or special treatment like he's trying to say

Yall better read and know FBA history and the history on this country and not believe what someone who cant tell you in details how shit went down.

You hold white People on too high of a pedestal. In multiple posts you've hyped up white folks as overseers and "allowing you into his country." They ain't that great

You come from a 3rd world country...you and your family doing bad bad...not fighting the government...
You get an opportunity to come to a land that you heard about because at that time...you dont have the internet, you dont have cable, again 3rd world country, you not keeping up with what's happening to fbas over here in the US...so you have no clue on the lay out of the land and now a white man gives you a chance to come from under that situation..

You get over here and you have to abide by the rules because them white folks not bringing over black immigrants and just setting them free...when they are already fighting with fbas...you getting vetted and you are being monitored by them white folks...so you know you have to walk a straight line...you and your kids...thats why the kids stayed to themselves....

You get here...get put into the community around fbas...you dont know the lingo...style...dont know what's going on...because back in your homeland, its not like you sitting around the house on the internet seeing the shit happening to us...here in the US.

So you as a black immigrant with a family, wife etc...you get here and you wanna convince me on this board within a week...your father and mother are in the mix with FBAs shoulder to shoulder fighting these white cops?? Lol

Really black rain...that shit doesn't make any sense dude...

You fighting the very same white folks that gave your family a chance to do better??
Lil brudda stop it.

See i like to start at the root of shit and put logic...so that a 5th grader can make it make sense.

You wanna tell us...that there were hundreds of black immigrants who came from a 3rd world country...that the government allowed...hand picked to come here....they setup shop...then a week...month later...they are in the streets fighting?? That same white man...
When they the black immigrants never experienced anything like what the fbas experienced...

You can thumbs down my post lol...doesnt make it not true
