I'm sorry.. But at 14... High school age.... Vacation Bible school is some bullshit

. It's for little ass kids... He got other shit going on now

As someone who grew up in the church, by the time I got into high school I stopped caring about going to VBS in the summer. I had to go because my parents made me but I had friends who were there too so that made it more fun but I didn’t care to go at that age

Would you trip if he decided that going to church on Sunday is something he don't want to do anymore?

I think most kids go through that. Still, as believers parents are still supposed to try and keep their kids plugged in as much as they can.

Of y'all that went to VBS, were any of you allowed to celebrate Halloween or did your folks make you go to Jubilee Night or some shit up at the church instead?

VBS lasted maybe 2 summers for me and my siblings till we formed a alliance and told mom we not wit that shit no more. Pops choose our side cause he always thought it was some bs and wasn’t with that church stuff like mom and somehow was able to skip put on it every Sunday 🤔. Plus he didn’t have to take us no more.

As your kids get older they gonna figure out what and how much they believe in something even if you tried to force your beliefs on em.

As a kid I didn't want to be in church, around 12 pr 13 I had to put a stop to that. My mom was pissed but my dad understood I wanted to be outside with my friends.
