That whole thing where you said all the immigrants wore dress shoes to school and they were quiet and soft lol
I even provided you or whoever with a video of Africans in their dress shoes talking about wearing them to school. THe father was usually strict, the mother valued education heavy...with the father...they had 1 car...they usually kept to themselves... (no harm)
Africans did not rock Jordans, Penny Hardways, Ken Griffins...Bo Jackson...Shaqs., or the latest brand shoes in the 90s in school. They didn't wear Girbauds, polos etc in the 90s, some wore suits, dress pants and the girls wore dresses for the most part with socks..not the average dress but like those uniform dresses. (no harm)
You gotta think these kids are not from here so they don't know the latest fashion compared to us being around our uncles, older brothers, other FBAs who were "outside" playing...watching rap videos....etc... who been up on fashion and game.
Them African kids weren't allowed to watch rap videos nor listen to rap music in the 90s like that....If they heard rap music outside of the home it was from their FBA buddy...
No African kid in 5th or 6th grade in the 90s was coming to school raping raps...lol...not to sound mean or anything, i'm just stating facts.. I'm speaking in the 90s
The quiet part and soft is because, again, they didn't know anybody...most FBAs went to school with the kids from the neighborhood...who they played with outside...some went to school with their cousins...etc...siblings...so there, that's a connection with majority of FBA kids..having friends when they got to schooll.. Africans when they rode the bus to school kept quiet...while us FBAS were talkative...loud..being bad etc.....the Africans didn't come outside to play in their neighborhood...so they had no friends....they were new to the school....they didn't come up in that school....or if we are talking middle school....they did not attend the "feeder" school or schools that middle school accepted... Then to add on...that some of their parents told them to not play with FBAs..which is the reason that they were quiet and to themselves...they couldn't rock out with us..
Soft isn't a knock.....they weren't very atheltic, we would always pick the african in sports at P.E. LAST, they didnt know how to play football, or basketball, nor baseball, they just kept to themselves, some, not all...church shoes and kickball was always a diaster.
I tell you this and this will sound fuck up...Africans who did fuck with FBAs...became cool with FBAs because they could take our jokes..they would laugh at themselves and even try...again try to so call roast back which went very bad....They got jose'd on but eventually it was that FBA dude who took a liken to that African...and was like man you can rock out with us at the lunch table or at recess
African chicks never hung with FBA chicks...until they got in college....even in hs..they stayed to themselves and focused on their grades (no harm)
Again, this may come off as some hating shit but this was reality in the 90s...and of course you may say it was only in my area...No
Back then, Africans and blacks for the most, stayed around each other...so when I or a FBA would visit their kinfolk from other parts of the state, country...it's the same setup...
All black people for the most part stayed around each other in the 90s, 80s, 70s...we lived together...
Kids talked back in the 90s...we grew up in a close nitted enivornment.....It's deep...I can go on and be much detailed but I will chill...
I tell you this...your local skating ring where you from...in 1995....as teens, how many times you seen more than 10 - 50 Africans at the skating ring?
you'll see more than 50 FBAS at your local skating ring in 95, 94..
Or a group of Africans at the state fair that comes every Fall....
How many Africans went to the Bayou Classic in 1996? I"m not hating...it is what it is...they didn't rock with us, nor were they in our spaces...
How many AFricans would you say you saw riding around town bumping Ice Cube in 95? Anywhere
