COMMUNITY United States Politics Thread: Trump's Second Term

Wanting a specific race at the front and center of the dems party is likely one of the reasons it's been beating itself

Dems also focus too much on the far left that freaks people out. Granted maga focuses on not giving a fuck. The whole 'we don't care about being sensitive' likely draws people

Dems could win easily if they moved just slightly in the middle considering how fucking crazy maga has got

But the majority of Black voters are already exactly where you said the party needs to be.

Look at the people who are so called far left. The majority of them are white or non-Black POC who have much less to lose than Black people which allows them to behave and talk as reckless as they do…….

Why is Lauren Underwood not platformed more amongst Progressives?

AOC is everywhere but on the merits of doing their jobs, it’s not even close.

Why?

What do you think Biden and Kamala are? They're essentially centrists

I’m not anti-Progressives.

I’m just trying to understand what’s really going on here. If it’s one thing Black people are gonna do, we gone see some bullshit coming a mile away.

The framing and demand of change from the Democratic Party smells. It smells funny for Black people only though. Not everybody else………

Most Black people are closer to the center to the left. Like I mentioned before, other groups have much less to lose so it’s easier for them to talk crazy.

Look at Rashida Talib. She talked mad crazy and was driving the bus on the uncommit movement going against Kamala and in turn, against the interest that the MAJORITY of Black voters.

If the roles were reversed,……….

What? I think you’re confused. You’re acting like I’m opposed to new leadership in the Democratic Party. I’m not opposed.

The problem that I have is that WE have been the core of this party and WE are being phased out of what the new party leadership is supposedly trying to look like.

I see your point of view, but the shake up needs to happen. I don't think because of one mayoral race Blacks nation wide need to worry about being completely "phased" out. Dems will still need our votes in key areas.

Like I said, the term Democrats is speaking about a very specific group, and it's not old white establishment Dems........

What he was really saying in that Tweet is that, the Black people who carry the Democratic party on their backs have not overwhelmingly came out in support of Mamdani and we know that he's going to need that for any chance to truly win. See Sanders, Bernie......

Democratic leaders have either congratulated Mamdani or did what they'll always do which is wait until an endorsement will actually mean something. He won a fucking primary. He still needs to win the election.
