If URL blocks the battle, the battlers aren't the reason the battle isn't happening. Why should they send back the deposit?

Follow up question. If URL books a battle in 2019 (as an example) and never follow through with it. Is it corny to block the battle 5 years later?

Nah depends on how the contract is drafted

They may “own” that specific battle in perpetuity

They have already paid for the battle so if they own that match up In perpetuity they would at the very least need to be compensated before it happens elsewhere

If you paid Seasnake and Disanthrope 10gs each to fight

2-3 years later u would nt be cool will All Hip Hop giving them 2500 each to fight if you own that fight

I'm not sure I understand either of your questions but at the end of the day, you received a deposit, you need to honor it

But also, URL needs to better business and state that if a battle they paid a deposit for doesn't happen x amount of months, then the deposits must be paid back in full or legal action will take place
