The GOAT just dropped the Raptors offseason preview

They were talking about Jakob Poeltl being extension eligible and that if they were him they would be seeking Jarrett Allen money making 30 mil per year....you comfortable paying that or would you rather try to trade him and take a center at 9?

I think he commands closer to 25 but yeah I'd pay him. He's so important to our defense and even how he can facilitate on offense. I'd be sick if we trade him or let him walk. Centers like Jak are hard to find.

We can’t pay everybody so Rj most likely the one to go unfortunately.

If I'm the Knicks I'm ok taking this into this season, next summer or just trading him

I'd offer him a 3 year max or a 4 year deal at a reduced amount...not getting a 4 year max though

Word. The Knicks have no choice but to give him close to max to keep him.

And he did have great moments in the playoffs. Was ass in ECF, but I think a new coach helps unlock him the most.

And then like you said, trade him if he ain't doing shit next season too

I agree and that's what I would feel more comfortable paying hkm but the thing is his is agent is probably going to look and say well "Nic Claxton is making 25 and my client is definitely better than Nic Claxton"

On the low Poeltl took a step forward with his offensive game last season

It does seem like RJ is either on his way out or coming off the bench

Idk...Raptors are a top 5 team in the league for me in terms of interest in what they do this summer
