WWE and Slim Jim have strengthened their ties in recent years, signing what was then “the largest sponsorship deal” in WWE before SummerSlam in 2023. And it was Slim Jim’s reluctance to be associated with WWE in the immediate wake of Janel Grant’s sex trafficking lawsuit that led to Vince McMahon’s resignationfrom WWE and parent company TKO last year.

Now, they’re expanding their partnership. Word comes from AdWeek today (June 2) that while extending their deal ‘23 deal, Slim Jim will become the new “center ring sponsor” for Raw on Netflix. Additionally, the Slim Jim logo will appear on all folding tables used on Raw, SmackDown, NXT and a premium live events.

Announcers will even have new copy to read when wrestlers put each other through the new logo-ed tables:

With the table integration, WWE Superstars will “Snap into a Slim Jim Table” during matches.

Truth will be alright. He has outside ventures and crazily at 54 can offer a lot physically. I wouldn't be surprised at him visiting TNA or NWA.

Yea I dunno what they expected out of that. It was a throwaway match on a SNME that Cena didn’t even hype up in the two short weeks before it happened. Truth I think would be perfect as a GM or some other on screen authority figure. Clearly he’s still over. Of course if he wants to still wrestle he’ll he just fine somewhere else. I think eventually he’ll be back in some form.
 
As reported last week, John Laurinaitis was dropped as a defendant in the Janel Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE and going forward, will assist Grant in her legal battle.

The United States District Court of Connecticut officially dismissed Laurinaitis on 5/30.

The order reads:

Defendant John Laurinaitis is dismissed from this action with prejudice. The court respectfully directs the clerk to terminate Mr. Laurinaitis from the action.

Grant's lawsuit against McMahon and WWE alleges “that McMahon lured her with promises of career advancement, and then he allegedly exploited her and trafficked her to other men inside the company.” Grant signed a nondisclosure agreement in 2022 with McMahon, agreeing to a payment of $3 million to not publicly disparage him or to discuss their relationship. She alleges in the suit that he stopped making payments after $1 million, one third of the agreement, was received. Her lawsuit is seeking to void the NDA and additional financial damages. McMahon and WWE are currrently attempting to move the lawsuit to arbitration.
