NBA Draft 2025 šŸ€

Added to Calendar: 06-25-25, 06-26-25

yeah it is Yaxel should've stayed in

unless he totally kills it (showing he can create off the bounce while keeping his efficiency) next season, he isn't getting drafted in the lotto.

this draft he might've gotten picked late lotto or just outside of it.
Let’s see next year who drafts him to be a 24 year old rookie

Out on Essengue and Asa Newell
I mean when I first watched actual tape of him idk a month ago I saw he had no real shot creation

Just getting all his points off of fast breaks and some cuts here and there

He’s intriguing from a potential standpoint because of his measurables but there’s really not much skill here just mostly athleticism so hes really just a long term project

I see how you could draft that in the lotto and pray you get another giannis situation but idk I feel like you need multiple firsts in the first round to take him like the nets hawks or Magic or something

As far as Newell I’m going out in a limb and saying he’s going to be better than people think and I’m going strictly because I think he’s a better prospect to me than Maluach, CMB, and Sorber

I designated this for him so I gotta stick with him deserving a top 10 pick

Question I got an idea

What if due to NIL and this leads to players being drafted at a older age and 2nd rounds being more shallow is there a way to maybe make the NBA draft first round one day and then on day 2 replace the 2nd round with a G league draft

But we raise the G league salaries to 2 mil guaranteed 2 year deals with two way capability

but this is only reserved to players who get drafted for the G league not players getting signed outright

I’m thinking as I type

Can’t blame some of those guys for going back to school.

Some of them screwed themselves in my opinion though. Next years draft should be pretty damn good, which is gonna make it tough for the returning guys.

Only being screwed if they REALLY want to go to the NBA

On the flipside

A lot of them will get degrees and be millionaires without even making the league so if they feel they are going to go undrafted next year they can still pivot to overseas or G league while already having a lot of money

The reality is there’s going to be a lot of older prospects coming in in the future because kids are going to stay longer

Makes for better players being drafted in theory but less upside

I draw the line at drafting 22 year olds though lol

By the time that rookie extension is done they like 30
