Ryan Clark vs RG3

This whole thing is dumb and over a normal foul. RG3 is a clown for trying to say Angel hates Caitlin, way too much is being put on these girls who are barely drinking age. This is why I stopped watching ESPN years ago, all them hosts have issues

Funniest thing though is the comments in this thread. Where was this energy when we were telling yall that Kamala doesn't relate to us in that huge ass thread last year??? I'm seeing lots of names who have done a 180. @BlackRain @Elzo69Renaissance

Those 2 things have no correlation at all. Kamala ain't make having a white husband a personality trait like RG3 has made his white wife. Horrible attempt.

Didn't you say, "I think Ryan mentioning RG3 wife was to try and show a connection between his comments and the lack of perspective not having a Black woman around you can lead to when it comes to things concerning Black women."?

And when we brought up Kamala's past as a AG, her jewish husband, or that she pretty much embraced white and indian culture most of her life....that was disregarded?

I'm just saying it's funny how quickly people went at RG3 over this, not that I disagree. But it's funny as hell

Because the man publicly and proudly refers to his wife as "milk" and has made multiple dumb ass posts and skits about her and white. Its been spoken about by his colleagues outside of Ryan Clark too. Its not a new thing at all he's been criticized for.

Kamala past as AG or her husband being Jewish isn't the same as RG3 making a skit where his white wife eats a piece of chocolate and "wakes up Black". Dhalsim couldn't even reach as hard as you are to make that connection.

And yeah if RG3 had a Black wife chances there is a higher chance his pov on what a Black woman experiences would change. That's just a product of proximity. That's not rocket science.

All I'm saying is that when I think of Clark, I think about her game on the court.

When I think about Reese, I think about off the court drama. It's all vague but related to Reese being upset about Clark getting praise for bringing attention to women's basketball.

I'm not saying Reese feels this way or is not a target of dirty press. I am saying Reese is doing a terrible job of not playing into a very easy narrative to avoid. If Reese consistently fails to not look like a CC (Clark) hater, then its hard to not begin to assume she is exactly that.

The problem with appearing as a CC hater is that there is absolutely no reason to dislike CC. None. So when people openly appear to be bias against her, they just look really bad.

Reese and CC are not basketball rivals yet because Reese is not on the same tier. Maybe she will get better, but right now she's not a reason to tune in simply for her game.

People aren't biased against CC for the most part. They're biased against people who as of last year declared her a savior and demanded she get special treatment from other players on the court. That's an insult to the game and a part of the backlash against her that some of her fans don't acknowledge. CC herself has said how insulting it is and her fans continue to paint her as this damsel in distress

I think it was Bomani Jones who said it last year that the influx of new "fans" and the discourse around the game would make it hard to enjoy and he's right. 95% of WNBA talk isn't about the game itself anymore and that's annoying as hell

They only follow the head lines.

I appreciate that y'all don't think Reese is a proper rival to CC right now..... But their rivalry is still head lines....

And instead of making it about the game, it's about the skin... And it's a narrative that could easily be shifted by media outlets
