Ryan Clark vs RG3

I’ve been watching this unfold X for a few days now. Pretty stupid tbh…

But it’s wild that everyone is turning on one another.

This is the fault of the media. They birthed this hatred. They purposely, but make it look indirect, made it about race between AR and CC. And everyone but CC took the bait.
 
Ryan was wrong to talk about that man's wives on a public form.

But he wasn't wrong on his take about RG3.

It just wasn't necessary to address it the way he addressed it, even if he was 100% correct about everything he said.

However, if I'm Ryan, I'll just take being wrong on the chest. He clearly didn't fuck with or respect RG3 for personal reasons..... So just stand on that shit.

Fuck it, I was wrong for what I said, but I ain't wrong about that nigga..

Nah alot of those things have been manipulated and outright made up by social media pages looking to get traffic.

CC has done it sparingly, but she could be more vocal about the people who are her fans simply using her as an avatar for hating other players needs to stop. I know she's spoken on it before, but she could do it in a more impact full way that puts a dent in it

Rivalries like these make the sports entertaining. People been complaining for years that no one watches wnba. Now we got stars and look forward to certain showdowns

The media absolutely should be hyping the shit up.

But I can't be mad at Ryan for putting his foot down on the black woman disrespect and defending them

I think the WNBA and the industry as a whole are doing a poor job by underselling the magic/bird nostalgia of this

They are not rivals per se

The rivalry is based and manufactured on perceptive racial lines and bias
 
Angel versus Caitlin is actually one of the most organic rivalries ever

Angel Beats Caitlin for a ring, the next year Caitlin knocks Angel out of the tournament, then they both go to the league in rivaling markets.

The WNBA is not doing a good enough job highlighting this

Not it didn't. Clark's relevant point was that people needed to be careful about what narrative they pushed with regards to how black women are portrayed. He didn't need to bring up RG3's family at life, and I didn't see it but from what I've heard about the clip, his wife was literally just sitting there.

Again, just say you don't like RG3 and move. This isn't necessary.

They've competed in basketball tournaments, loser goes home

If the WNBA was bigger they would be in the same division

It doesn't matter what they say to the media, they're supposed to downplay it and act unbothered, but this is a basketball rivalry
