Classifying somebody as a "Bron fan" as if they can't be fans of other people is silly in and of itself. That KD/Steph sentiment is found among basketball fans in general. It was a discussion literally as they were winning.

I've seen people downplay Pippen, Rodman and Phil Jackson's coaching to prop up MJ. Same as I've seen people use MJ, Kobe and Shaq to downplay Phil Jackson's coaching and how integral it was to all of them winning their rings.

Bruh, stop being obtuse. You know when I say "Bron fan" I'm talking about a person who is primarily a fan of Lebron or that Lebron is their favorite player. That's common parlance across topics and everyone understand that. No one believes that when someone is called a "Nas fan" that Nas is literally the only rapper that person likes.

And yes, I remember people saying that KD was the better player and downplaying Curry to big up KD. I do not remember people saying that Curry was not a superstar. I'm not saying it didn't happen. I'm just saying I don't recall seeing it. I think people acknowledged Curry was on that level, they just put him under KD.

I agree with your last statement, but I don't understand it's purpose. Dude didn't just downplay Wade. He acted as if Wade didn't exist. He didn't just downplay Kyrie, he erased Kyrie's game winner. And again, those were even the stupidest points he made. He literally said that Lebron and Wilt were the only NBA superstars ever. Have you ever seen a MJ fan strip every other great player in the sports history of their status? I feel like you're just arguing to argue. This shouldn't really be a debate.

I only see reactions and bringing up role players as reasons titles were won. No shit it takes a team, but stop pretending everyone is the same caliber star. What more does Lebron need to do?

I'm far from a Lebron stan, I just respect the reality. No one has ever lived up to the hype like him. To deny his GOAT status just exposes your bias towards your own favorite. Truly I use that term GOAT loosely as it can only be judged by eras, not across them.

We already talked about Wade in the other thread. I'm past the days of making the same argument for multiple pages, but you all can come back to my post when reality hits you later on. I think you can bookmark my posts.

You can't downplay the role Wade, Bosh and Kyrie contributed. They're key pieces and Bron doesn't win those titles without them. Theres a reason the 1st duo to drop 40+ in a Finals game is Bron and Kyrie. There's a reason Wade had to be the 1 to tell Bron to take over for the Heat. Those are key things to the 4 rings he has.

Actually yes I have seen people strip basically every other star of their status with the mythical status they give MJ. Some folks talk about MJ like he was a somebody who nobody dared challenge because he was so much better than everyone else yet somehow also played against the toughest competition ever lol. Look at how folks talk about Bill Russell 11 rings in comparison to MJs 6. It's ridiculous no matter who is on the receiving end of the praise on that level of delusion. Dude made some ridiculous statements. There's also a section of people who are MJ fans who do the same and talk about him as if he hit every game winner and was miles above everyone else and made the game easy while simultaneously being tested to the limit every night.

Dude same some stupid shit in praise of Bron. It's not the 1st nor the last time somebody will say some stupid shit to prop up their favorite.

lol Yeah, bruh you just be arguing to argue. I get it.

We not talking about your perception of people's adoration of MJ and what that means for other players. This dude literally said that Lebron and Wilt are the only superstars in NBA history. You've never heard an MJ fan say that. It's ok to admit that and move on.

Obviously I made that remark in response to something else but fuck it

I'm sorry y'all that I can't relate to my mama being on crack as a kid or being young having beef with my mama and being kicked out the house

Lol it's not that. You just seem to have trouble believing that level of delusion lies within a fandom you're part of. People have and will continue to do that exact same shit to boost up MJ too. It's not my perception. Its shit I've literally read and heard in discussions about him.

Again bro, have you literally seen an MJ fan say that MJ and one other player are the only NBA superstars to have every existed? That's what was done here.

I'm not sure why you're trying to die on this both sides hill. If this was the politics thread, you'd get it. The establishment Dems are terrible, but it's dumb to say they are the same as MAGA. That's basically what you're trying to do here.

If Wilt was THAT superstar like homie claims , there would be footage of his 100 point game. Cameras woulda been following his every move. Also Bird & Magic not being superstars is hilarious.

Superstars don't need another star to help them close games or be a winner. The Warriors are similar to today's Celtics; they have great coaching that knows how to take advantage of having good players. The Celtics don't have any superstars. Coaches don't get enough credit in the NBA. Look at Udoka in Houston, he's doing amazing work with a roster that is supposed to be a lottery team on paper.

Thinking about it...Lebron and Wilt may be the only true superstars in history. Kobe, Jordan, Kareem, Shaq... they all had an amazing co-star/coaching staff. Lebron had Ilgauskas and then a young Kyrie, neither who did anything without him.

How anyone doesn't see Lebron as not only the NBA GOAT, but maybe even in sport's history. Brady had Belichick...

Fuck the choices in op

This post might be top 5 dumbest shit and 5 Grand still post here. That dumb shit is filled with contradictions.
