The last two claims are valid. MJ isn't remember as an R&B singer. After Off the Wall especially.

And while Steph changed the game, he's not on the same tier as Kobe. MJ, or LeGOAT. These guys are reliable iso scorers. Curry is heavily reliant on an offense that is built around his shooting ability. It's why he is incorrectly considered a PG by some, but he's a pure SG.

I agree about MJ, but Steph is absolutely a superstar. Only Lebron fans claim he's not.

Absolutely not. I have been saying for a minute that the "superteam" was all marketing. The same with how often the label "superstar" is applied to players who are simply pretty good. It's all marketing so that more teams have something to promote beyond basketball.

Wade was a great player, no doubt, but he was not a true superstar like Kobe or Lebron. He alone could not carry a team of good players to a title. Only superstars can do that. Bosh was a very good player, but no where near being the superstar capable of carrying a team to a title with a cast of just good players.

Lebron James is a superstar. He is capable of carrying a decent roster to a title, so if he has a good roster, expect multiple titles.

Even the Warriors with KD wasn't a super team. The Warriors were notorious for not having a real closer and were vulnerable to sloppy turnovers during crunch time. Steph is a great player...not a true superstar. Klay is a good player, but could never create his own offense. The Warriors needed KD, it's unfortunate they let egos mess up a surefire dynasty.

But yeah, people overrate a lot of players and you can tell they don't watch the games.

Superstars don't need another star to help them close games or be a winner. The Warriors are similar to today's Celtics; they have great coaching that knows how to take advantage of having good players. The Celtics don't have any superstars. Coaches don't get enough credit in the NBA. Look at Udoka in Houston, he's doing amazing work with a roster that is supposed to be a lottery team on paper.

Thinking about it...Lebron and Wilt may be the only true superstars in history. Kobe, Jordan, Kareem, Shaq... they all had an amazing co-star/coaching staff. Lebron had Ilgauskas and then a young Kyrie, neither who did anything without him.

How anyone doesn't see Lebron as not only the NBA GOAT, but maybe even in sport's history. Brady had Belichick...

See @BlackRain this is the kinda shit I be talking about.

That's not true. Steph been universally seen as a superstar since that 1st title run . The 73-9 regular season cemented it. If anybody group of fans take shots at his legacy it's KD fans who say he wouldn't have rings 2 and 3 without him. They're wrong though...it's the 1st ring that's questionable. I do think that Warriors team still wins a ring or 2 without KD during that run. He just made them unbeatable

All superstars got delusional fans. Bron delusional fans just bother you more. Niggas ain't waxing poetic about BJ Armstrong and John Paxon or Bill Cartwright either lol.

That shit he wrote is stupid as fuck though 🤣

Come on bruh, it's levels. Ignore the fact that he didn't even mention Wade as one of Lebron's teammates or conveniently forgot that Ray Allen and Kyrie both closed out Championship saving/winning games for Lebron. He said that Lebron and Wilt are the only superstars in NBA history. You know damn well ain't no MJ fans walking around saying shit like that.

We're not disagreeing her. I didn't say that all Lebron fans feel that way. Like you said, I feel the vast majority of BBall fans acknowledge Steph as a superstar. I've only seen a handful of people say otherwise, and all of them were Bron fans.

Classifying somebody as a "Bron fan" as if they can't be fans of other people is silly in and of itself. That KD/Steph sentiment is found among basketball fans in general. It was a discussion literally as they were winning.

I've seen people downplay Pippen, Rodman and Phil Jackson's coaching to prop up MJ. Same as I've seen people use MJ, Kobe and Shaq to downplay Phil Jackson's coaching and how integral it was to all of them winning their rings.

I only see reactions and bringing up role players as reasons titles were won. No shit it takes a team, but stop pretending everyone is the same caliber star. What more does Lebron need to do?

I'm far from a Lebron stan, I just respect the reality. No one has ever lived up to the hype like him. To deny his GOAT status just exposes your bias towards your own favorite. Truly I use that term GOAT loosely as it can only be judged by eras, not across them.

We already talked about Wade in the other thread. I'm past the days of making the same argument for multiple pages, but you all can come back to my post when reality hits you later on. I think you can bookmark my posts.
