2026/2027 College Basketball/Prospects Thread

I don’t think he’ll be a top scorer but he will kill for sure. He can bring a similar impact that we’re seeing from Flagg but on a lesser scale. If Saunders and Catchings come back BYU should be one of the better teams in the country next year.

Keep an Darren Peterson. Hes not getting the same hype as AJ but by this time next year I fully expect it to be a two horse race between the two for the top spot. Hate that he ended up going to KU tho. Rip Beezy
Catching is transferring from BYU(big loss) but Ritchie Saunders should be back. BYU will definitely get a lot of national televised games next season. Darren Peterson is a bucket, and should have the ultimate green light at Kansas. I’m also in interest to see what Duke starting 5 looks like next season my projection
1. Cayden Boozer
2. Caleb Foster
3. Isiah Evans
4. Cam Boozer
5. Maliq Brown

Also earlier I looked into

Noa Essengue
Noah penda
Micheal Ruzic
Bagolijub markovic
Sergio De Larerra

Only one I’m not in on is Micheal Ruzic

If I was to rank these guys in draft order it would be:

Essengue (upside/age)
De Larerra
Markovic
Penda (Even though he’s last I actually like him a lot he’s strong and probably the most skilled player out of the 4 upon drafting as he has the highest floor out of everyone

A better off ball defender than a guy like essengue and unlike noa he can score in the halfcourt now but bare in mind he’s 20 years old

Like I wouldn’t be surprised if Penda is taken idk top 22 by someone

Man, I really wanted him to stay and play with Darryn Peterson next season. That defense would be crazy.

But I kinda understand it, the coaching staff did not respect him this season (some valid reasons why). Might be wise to go somewhere else and start with a clean slate.

Damn I forgot about the MDAAG

This was a fun and competitive game despite the west being stacked.

Houston commits Harwell and Cenac really jumped out.

Cam Boozer has the highest floor. Plays a ver my mature game. Going to be a 20/10 guy in the pros.

Nate Ament is a tier 1 guy. Ceiling as high as anyone in the class

First time seeing Tounde play and he looked like one of the better players in the game. He really put himself on the map.

Peterson and Dybansta are both franchise altering players.

Bundalo and Moreno were both impressive bigs who could be risers

Wasnt impressed with Acuff or Arenas.

Looking forward to seeing Karim Lopez and Dash Daniel’s in the Hoop Summit game
