I’m on board with scotty pippen taking Ja’s spot

They need to get more production somewhere else in the offseason but this team does not change drastically outside of rim pressure without Ja

If they can finesse a team I would probably do it.....the question then becomes how do you get that number 1 option type guy? Can't tank and it hasn't been easy getting guys to Come Memphis

Nobody has the kind of upside on their roster and as good as Jarren has been he can't be your best player if you have any real aspirations

Trade Ja to

Magic (Franz and someone else)
Rockets (Pick whoever)
Suns (KD)
Kings (Lavine or monk and Clayface)
Celtics (Ideally Jaylen Brown but this is tricky)

Grizzlies gonna just have to do it by committee mostly

I don't see any of these teams being dumb enough to do that except Sacramento

KD already said he's not playing in Memphis lol

Yeah they are all long shots but honestly a star for star trade for Ja is kinda difficult and admittedly I never once thought about Ja trade packages lol

I only picked KD because Booker is a non starter lol

I had Portland and Toronto in mind as well but the gluttony of ball handlers in Portland and Ja’s lack of shooting hinders a raptors trade

I do want Jaylen brown out of Boston though and with money being tight and a new owner I can see a move in the near future

Me either but thinking about a Ja trade package is a very interesting thought exercise

You have to start with the contract....After this season you have 3 years left at
36.7, 39.4 and 44.8

That will take you through his age 28 season which is actually pretty enticing....you would essentially get him for what's supposed to be his prime years and he's under contract

There would definitely be interest if he was made available
