I’m not voting democrat until they give us reparations! I’m glad they lost and now they have to give us reparations if they ever want our vote again.

Republicans get in office and kill reparations forever. Not only at the federal level, but the state level too.

If that's HR40 that's been around for 30 yrs and even when Dems had a chance to push the legislation they wouldn't do it.

But u would think, if Dems were serious, they could use this as a campaign promise to bring it back next time around.

It feels more like they rather let the Republicans do the dirty work bc they themselves feel it's too "unpopular and risky" to push (their own words)

HR40 was already re-introduced last month and sent to the judiciary committee.

The bill talked about in that fox article wants federal funding blocked for any city or state that creates any sort of policy regarding reparations.

Well I hope the Dems keep a spotlight on this and use it to campaign and not just be lip service

I think it’s just going to give them an excuse to continue putting it on the back burner. If it’s effectively dead they can act like they want it but then just blame republicans and move on.

So the plan to let them lose to get it will have backfired.
