We might as well get ready for another last place finish in the NFC East.what a fucking clown show
No surprise
It's probably cause Daboll's offensive mind is well respected around the league.what a fucking clown show
Same with the pats...But retained the GM.
Smdh
It's crazy bcuz Kafka is one of the highest paid O-coordinators but it's Daboll's show. A lot of money for mid. It's probably cause Daboll's offensive mind is well respected around the league.
He's one of those coaches that will get a 2nd HC chance if he got fired.
He can't call or design plays. Last year his role was to relay the info in team meetings that Bill and Steve Belichick had set up, as he was viewed as a "leader of men"
Well, last yr's top-10 defense in DVOA, is now bottom 5. The biggest indictment however is that his off-field actions were just as alarming (imo even worse) as the teams on-field performance. Reeked off a lack of leadership.
Regularly had to retract comments from his post game pressers on Mondays, so much so that Boston radio coined the term "walk back mondays".
He one-uped himself by doing it pre-game vs chargers, stating Gibson would start over Stevenson; Stevenson started. Leaving, both announcers perplexed and in disbelief after the 1st offensive play. Gibson stated after the game no one told him such, and nothing changed during the week to suggest he would start.
The biggest smh-inducing moment for me came a few weeks ago, when the reporters asked why Maye wasn't running the ball more. Mayo's response was "you said it, I didn't".. this is verbatim BTW. So blatant that it was the final time he threw his OC under the bus and of course he tried to walk it back the next day.
If he wasn't black, he would've evidently lost the locker room weeks ago. Guys were biting their tongue giving pc quotes. Until Keion White couldn't do it anymore and Mayo spoke to the media and stated White's comments were miscontrued by everyone. White, then immediately came back to the media and literally said he meant what he said.
Even staunch overly-optimistic pats reporters like taylor Kyles (a black guy) ,who was heavily in support of Mayo's hiring, over the last few weeks began to drop rhetoric that Mayo's tenure is untenable. Like Keion White stated about next season, "things have to change... if not then what are we doing here"
This dropped a coupled day's ago.. I'm sure there will more comprehensive chronciling of his tenure in the coming days/weeks.

It’s been a rough season for Jerod Mayo’s Patriots at the podium. Here are 14 quotes that defined their season.www.bostonherald.com
Here's a drop post-firing

Jerod Mayo firing was as much about his command off the field as the Patriots’ play on it
Pats fans were rooting for him. But as verbal missteps continued, it became obvious Mayo lacked the proper amount of head-coach training.www.nytimes.com
Some guys don't understand that.....one guy up here (won't say his name lol) thinks a black coach should get more chances because they're black lolSucks when a black head coach gets fired but hey if you’re terrible then that’s it.

What do you mean?Does Mahomes come back in that scenario?
Mike Tomlin already gave these guys the blueprintIt's easier said than done but these brothers gotta stop accepting the first thing offered to them. Get yo money by all means but take a look at the situation you are going into, knowing that there will be a short leash. Some of the jobs are career suicide missions. Some of these guys won't get the opportunity to get a second, third, or fourth chance like a lot of these pilgrims get.
