Monday Night Raw: 5/20

The picture references The Allegory of the Cave.

The basis of the story is some dudes are in a cave and have lived their whole lives down there stuck to chairs facing a wall. There's a fire behind them and a trench between the men and the fire, where men from outside the cave use figures on sticks to cast shadows on the wall, like a star, a dog, a bird, a tree, etc. Over time the men grow to know these figures at an instant.

One day, one of the men escapes the chair they're stuck in, and he leaves the cave to find the outside world, the shining sun, the blue sky, trees that stretch to the heavens full of colorful leaves, and he decides he must let everyone in the cave know about the outside world.

The man re-enters the cave and tells his compatriots of the outside world, to which they all disbelieve entirely. They think he's gone mad, gone stupid, and they're only reaffirmed by the flashing of the figures on the wall. See, the man who left the cave no longer has his eyes adjusted to the darkness, and as such, he can no longer identify the figures on the wall, but the men who stayed in the cave have been there the whole time, their eyes perfectly adjusted.

This leads the men in the chairs to believe that leaving the chairs is a bad idea, leaving the chairs makes you stupid. Whatever is outside the small world they live in, it isn't good.

This was supposedly the inspiration for The Matrix

Might be best for him anyway. Someone made a good point on twitter, ever since they introduced this "YEET" shit with Jey he's kinda been dumbed down. He was dynamic during the Bloodline story. He was always a great promo and he had ALOT of character depth. Ever since he started doing this YEET shit its not the same at all. Yeah he's more over but it came at a cost of his character development and some of his in-ring work even. I like "YEET" Jey Uso for the vibes but he gotta get back to being who he was even if that means putting him back into the Bloodline story.

He's COOKED. He's become a caricature and is not endearing whatsoever. Wrap that shit up and put him and Jimmy back together. This singles run has kinda been a dud.

If anything they proved that he can get over by himself and be a star. But they sorta fumbled this go round by not having him do anything important aside from the Judgement Day / Wargames stuff. Time to put him back with Jimmy who needs him too.

You can revist the solo Jey run another time

Honestly, I'd much rather they don't.

He's a 5 moves of doom wrestler. That might have cut it in the PG era but now? Switch it up.
 
Man they gonna need to rebuild the entire tag division if the Usos coming back. They in the process now but these teams are a long way from being able to compete

^THIS..... If you uniting the Usos again the tag division gotta step up. They already are in the midst of doing so and the Usos will be busy in the meantime fighting off Tama Tonga, Solo and Jacob anyway.
