You can’t quit Ben

(not a slight!)
I see a very good PF ala Draymond in him. He needs tough love. He needs a coach that will tell him straight up, "you can't have the ball bcuz you are a major liability on offense. Now if you wanna grab some boards and lead the fast break, I'm cool with that." He can't be your PG. You have to want the ball in your hands to be effective at that position.

Sorry I’m not interested in Ben Simmons talk but I’ll take your word for it

Nigga lookin right at Ausar getting chop blocked
Yeeeeeaaaaahhhh

I watched this several times. The ONLY thing I can entertain is maybe he was trying to see if the ball was going to go out of bounds and then it was just a matter of giving it to Detroit.

BUT

ball got saved, a player gets his legs taken out from under him... You either call that or don't call that ticky tack foul at the baseline.

The difference with Draymond leading the fast break is that defenders know he’ll read the defense and will be attack the basket with purpose whether to score or drive and kick. With Ben he’s only looking to pass. Draymond will attempt the occasional three if you leave him open, Ben will not. Ben is unplayable.

My only Ben Simmons question is, does he get another NBA contract.

Injuries aside, he is who he is at this point. That's not anyone you need as a centerpiece on your team at that price tag.

Yes. Someone will take a flyer on him. He’s very talented and naturally gifted.

The sad part is I think he would be OK with being on the bench, even if he says otherwise.

He and DSJ needs to be out of the rotation. With DSJ he plays hard and gives effort but it’s an odd man out situation. With Ben he’s simply unplayable there’s no lineups that works with a guy that’s unwilling to score, always playing 4 on 5 on offense.

I see a basketball play

Shit wild for the Nets.

They make whats a very risky trade at the time for an old Pierce and Garnet. They were old but at the time it looked like an OK trade but then Deron Williams starts disappearing and in like a year is a shell of himself. That makes that trade go down as one of the worst trades ever.

And then they somehow turn it all around and get KD, Kyrie, and Harden. Covid hits. Harden leaves supposedly cause of Kyrie. But then they get Simmons. And then everyone gets excited because KD, Kyrie and Ben supposed to be the best trio. But then it turns out Ben is a shell of himself and dont wanna play basketball and railroads everything and that era goes down as a massive failure.

Nets fans need to shoot Ben and Deron for derailing everything.

Joe Tsai fucked it up. It was his call to not have Kyrie just play road games. If they do that I don’t think Harden asks out. Then they don’t at least try to talk to Harden to get him to stay and be patient, they traded him for a guy that doesn’t want to play basketball anymore.
