Welcome To aBlackWeb

Do you agree with businesses being forced to serve all customers?

I'm kinda torn on this.

Cuz while I strongly feel that's bull shit discrimination.

I wouldn't want no racist ass openly anti black Confederate flag Trump supporting motherfucker renting my property.....

I would dead the shit outta that and give no fucks about their feelings

And if I know there's clearly a demographic I would absolutely discriminate against with no fucks given.... Can I really take a stance against discrimination??

Because white Christian folk ain't the only people with the power to discriminate these days.....

It ain't shit for one of us to do the same thing

On second thought fuck them.

Its okay for us to discriminate... But not them.... Fuck them......

I mean is it really even discrimination to outcast racist... if it is. yah fuck em..

i mean if a bully gets punched in the face i wouldnt call it bullying.. i call that justice..

I've seen this sign posted outside of businesses before.

refuse-service.png

... So, apparently it's legal.
That's because that sign does not specify a constitutionally protected class.

If it said "We reserve the right to refuse service to Asians", they would face legal problems.

This is tough one IMO.

I say that because its those folks LAND. So I feel they should get to decide who they do and don't want to rent their land to.

Then that goes into housing discrimination which I don't agree with. A developer owns a building and all its units. If I qualify and show I'm able to pay the rent then I should be able to live in that particular building.

I honestly don't know yet how I really feel about this shit.

Yes people will use the bullshit the Gorsuch pence and company are pushing to use "religion" as a vehicle to discriminate all these crackers are godless entitled arrogant idiots..

Here's my thing though. I get the beef with using religion to discriminate, and if this was a diner where the couple was refusing to serve gays, I'd be with you. My problem is that this isn't really the same thing. It's not like they are saying 'We don't want gays to rent our land for events.' They are saying 'We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. By renting them our land to get married, we're basically supporting a violation of our own beliefs.' I don't think that's fair.

It would be like forcing the NAACP to rent out one of its facilities to the KKK for one of their racist planning sessions. That would be crazy.

Next youll have doctors who refuse to gay people.... like i said ppl that harbor racist views should be ostracized here something that flashed before me yesterday or day before not sure if this was mentioned..

thats technically discriminating and hardly anything she could do about it..

this potential sanctioned discrimination is return to when"America was great"

My response to that is "So what?" Would you really feel comfortable with a unabashed racist doctor?

And I agree that racists and other bigots should be ostracized, so ostracize them. Don't legally force them to deal with you.

exactly

that doesnt mean we can turn you around because you're black, white, whatever

it means we can put you out if you got an attitude or are dressed inappropriately or you stink

That not serving cops coffee is the most dumbest shit I've ever heard. People need a brain yo understand not everybody is a crooked cop just like every black person in a hoodie is not a thug.

So if they get robbed .............................................................................................Do they call the police?
If someone gets shot..............................................................................................Do they call the police?
Lets say someone runs into their building by accident.........................................Don't they have to call the police?

The problem is you don't know who owns the establishment. Like in the KKK example you made you're not going to know the restaurant is owned by a Klan member. Shit like this is to prevent discrimination and I'm definitely for that because discrimination is horrible.

As a business owner I would want my businesses serving everyone. Thats where "it's just business" and not personal. I can't screen everyone who wants my products and services and I don't want to either.

I'm not sure why people keep saying that you don't know who owns and establishment. I'm sure that's true in some cases, but it's not true in a lot of cases. In the example given for this topic, the business is owned by the same people that run it. If they anti-gay Christians, that's known about them and anyone who deals with them knows that. I think it's far more common that people know the owners of business and what those owners stand for than some of your are implying.

If im the CEO of Kellogg cereal brands and behind closed doors I have a hatred for a group of people or support some of the ideals of the republican party and I don't do interviews and live a private life you're not going to know of my beliefs in public nor do you have to.

I can guarantee there's someone within the company where you buy your toothpaste, buy your groceries, clothes, computers, sites you visit who hate or discriminate against something you're passionate about unbeknownst to you that would be considered morally wrong and discriminate against. It's really not your business to know. You walk into a store the only thing we have that is mutual is you're going to buy something you require and I'm going to trade it to you for money. That's where the relationship starts and ends. Nothing more nothing less.

You're thinking corporation level, but this isn't really a corporation issue because we know corporations put money above everything else. Even Papa John got the business for his bullshit. This is more a small business/moms and pops level issue. In those cases, if you do business there regularly, you will know the owner to some degree and you will likely have a read on what they stand for.

Whether it's a corporation, small business, restaurant, mom & pops business or whatever, it's none of your business what beliefs the owners have and you'd never know unless they really wanted you to.

lol Sion are you arguing just to argue or what? The whole purpose of this topic is based on the idea that you know what the owners believe and you know that they are discriminating based on those beliefs. It's true that there are owners that keep their beliefs a secret. Those cases aren't relevant to this discussion because no one who is trying to hide their discriminatory beliefs would openly engage in discrimination.

Exactly! Some ignorant suckers cosigning that shit

Corporations (and i guess businesses as a whole) are supposed to be separate entities. Why are people trying to force their beliefs on these separate entities?

Your business has no beliefs. Bill the citizen can do whatever the fuck he wants, Uncle Bill's Pro and Tackle Store better fucking serve everyone though.

Thats not the same. You cant enforce your religion on somebody else like that. You gotta find another way to get somebody not to move there but just not renting is stupid.
