Ain’t about saving this time but can we not falsely imply he meant something else.

I ain’t gotta like a dude but misrepresenting his words ain’t right

Majors told Jabbari that she should act more like Coretta Scott King and Michelle Obama. “I’m a great man. A great man. I do great things for my culture and for the world...The woman that supports me needs to be a great woman,” Majors said in the recording. “Two nights ago, you did not do that, which took away from the plan.”

In the ABC interview, Majors explained to Davis what he meant by that statement. “It was me trying to give an analogy of what it is I’m aspiring to be, these great men,” he told ABC. “Martin. President Obama. Trying to give a reference point to that.”

Davis also discussed Majors’ new relationship with actress Megan Good. He said that Good has provided support to him throughout the experience. “She’s an angel. She’s held me down like...like a Coretta. You know?” he said. “I’m so blessed to have her. The relationship is still fresh, but I think I found her.”

Now reading the comments online, it’s making it seem like he’s downplaying her accomplishments to only being the wife of MLK. That’s not how I saw it. But can we be real and not act like most mf’ers know about her accomplishments.

Why can’t it be just, he wants a supportive woman that understands the hard work he put in and to be his rock in and out of the home?

Fake outrage

Lol at calling her daughter not wanting her mother's name to he used that way fake outrage. And the bold is exactly the issue. You almost got it...almost. you almost got why it's not the compliment you want it to be.

I actually did ya immigrant.

Do niggas even take the time to see what he’s saying and he’s not minimizing her to a prop?

Did he tell either to stop being who they are?
Can Megan help him and Visa versa?

Y’all mf’ers just don’t like bruh. And that fine but cut the shit like y’all was up on all the knowledge.

The status of who her mother is, she doesn’t get to determine or interpret how someone uses it as long as it’s not disrespectful.
Just because he doesn’t mention everything she did, doesn’t make him a bad person for wanting what he saw as a great woman to be emulated by the woman he is with.

And who are you to say she doesn't find this disrespectful? You don't get to determine that for somebody else.

I want a woman as great as your mother.

Or

I want a woman to stay in the background while I shine.

Mind frame determines how things are heard.

The daughter may feel that way but that dont make it fact of how he meant it.

Lol that look like a dog costume lol
Yea that's what he got on lol

@DOS_patos has already expressed major disappointment with how Jonathan has carried himself, yet he still puts on this ill-fitting superhero costume to defend him. Dude sat on national TV crying and said "i was ReCkLeSs WiT hEr HeaRt"... there's no saving that

I think he thought since he got so much flack for applying the Coretta analogy to a white woman, that saying it in reference to Meagan would get a better reaction.

And honestly if he said something simple like Meagan is supportive .I am sure the internet would have been like see he wanted that wyte woman to be his Coretta and Meagan just be a pretty black prop lol.

But he shouldn't have said it the 1st time to Jabbri and he definitely should have let it go and not bring it up again.
