Jacque Vaughn, while you stand there on the sidelines hopefully as uncomfortable as you can be, I want you to hear me and hear me good nigga. I want you to digest this before I give up on the rest of the Nets season just a few weeks shy of the trade deadline, I have some shit to get off my chest.
I don’t hate you, Jacque. I don’t even dislike you. I do like you. I like you a hell of a lot more than most people who have come and gone from the Nets Front office. In fact I pity you. You lost the locker room after comparing the team to your children, which came off the heels of you tanking a game in December for no apparent reason and then having the nerve to stand on bidness.
I hate the idea that you’re the coach of this team. You are not a coach; nor a leader of men. In fact the only thing you’re good at is kissing Joe Tsai’s ass.
I’m sure some will vilify me for the decision to abandon my favorite team. Hell I was vilified for being a defender of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant (and even James Harden) I watched this organization run them outta town and now I’m watching them stifle the development of their best young drafted player in years in Cam Thomas. That’s right I’m a Cam Thomas guy!
The reason I’m boycotting the rest of the Nets season is those content fans from this very base. Because after I’m gone, yall still going to pour money into this team and going to the Barclays to watch a shit product. I’m just a spoke on the wheel. The wheel is going to keep turning and I understand that. Joe Tsai is going to make money despite himself. He’s a billionaire who should be a trillionaire. You know why he’s not a triillionaire? Because he surrounds himself with glad-handed, nonsensical, douchebag yes men, like Sean Marks, who’s going to tell him everything he wants to hear, and I’d like to think that maybe this team will be better after Joe Tsai is dead. But the fact is, it’s going to be taken over by his idiotic wife and the rest of his stupid family.
