James Tomkins allegedly

I saw this article earlier but paid it somewhat no mind until further facts were later established.

If it is indeed allegedly James Tomkins, then he's definitely gonna be side eyed in the Palace locker room from here on out.

Contract up in the summer and he's like 5th/6th choice CB behind guehi, Anderson, Richards, Holding, Ward...so he'll be out the club soon enough.

What would be interesting to see is if he's dropped from here on out out of the match day squads when he's not injured. He's been in the last 7 consecutive squads sitting on the bench since 3rd December; next game is FA cup against Everton where you'd think there would be potential to play due to rotation 🤔

Spurs and Liverpool with the biggest hit.

Agreed. Spurs ain't got the biggest squad and that's their spine out of joint.
Alongside injuries to maddison and that cb van sometin... richarlison and skipp gotta hold it down, good luck with that!

Salah is Salah so someone gotta step up...maybe Harvey elliot now starts on the right, or jota

Wages I’m guessing, suprised Casemiro hasn’t been shunned yet either.

A mixture of both, too injury prone to pay that much out. We extend, we won’t sell him, so if would be a retirement cheque… we’re not in the position to be able to do that.

I heard he got offered lower wages to stay…

How did Chris Houghton end up managing Ghana?

Hes a dope manager, played good football with Brighton in the Championship, got them promoted, then played very defensive with them in his EPL years to keep them up and established... Absolute legend... Really hope he does well...

The thing with managers, if they were defenders they are usually pretty defensive minded managers and attackers more expansive...

Exception to the rule being Eddie Howe who was a CB.

I was always surprised how open and attacking Bournemouth was which eventually led to his and their demise of relegation.

He's somewhat learned with Newcastle though...
